Tasty Waves cabin is located in Greenbush, Michigan, just 5 Miles South of Harrisville and 10 miles North of Oscoda. Decorated in a mix of log cabin and mid-century modern, whether you want to unplug and relax, have adventures in Northern Michigan or immerse yourself in the lake life, we have you covered. Enjoy the beach right off the screened-in back porch, hiking/biking, sight-seeing or lighthouse tours and golfing (90 holes nearby). Fall color tours are absolutely wonderful and Tasty Waves is in a perfect location to make it your home base for your travels. We have snowshoes and groomed cross-country ski trails nearby. Winter is great with radiant floor heating and a gas forced-air fireplace.

The house and view were beautiful! The hosts were very good with making themselves available and reminder messages. You really only need to bring a change of clothes and groceries! The hosts have thought of everything you could possibly need...spices, crock pots, martini shaker, wine glasses, chargers, bug spray, shampoo, beach towels, books, games, firewood, outdoor toys, beach chairs, local menus...the list goes on and on! Bedrooms nicely separated. Great views and nice people on early morning walks along the beach. The only thing I did not know is they recycle in Michigan. Good to know for next time. High recommend.

Amazing second stay

Perfect, 5 star location, home and hosts. Everything you could ever want in a nice, relaxing vacation at the lake. Our family’s second year in a row at this property and it is still our favorite spot! Thank you Mike and Terry for yet another amazing experience!

They have literally thought of everything!

When the owners tell you to simply pack a bag and show up - they mean it. They are tremendous hosts and have a flawless rental and experience. Looking forward to going back!

Great for group or romantic retreat

The home was exactly as expected- perfect! Clean, well stocked with all a guest would need, a quiet and beautiful lakeside retreat. It was just the cozy haven we needed for a restful and romantic respite.

Thoroughly enjoyed our fall girls trip. This house & property exceeded our expectations. Beautifully appointed, with everything we needed. Spacious, clean, incredible kitchen, comfortable beds. Loved the timed lighting inside & out, along with the heated floors. We spent a lot of time at the fire pit and walking the beach. 10 out of 10!

Perfect family getaway!

This was our second year at Tasty Waves and the whole family had the most enjoyable stay. The home is so charming and very clean and has all the essentials you could need. The beach is beautiful and the kids loved playing in the sand and waves all day long. This is a top notch rental - highly recommend!

Girlfriend Getaway

We enjoyed this property so much! It is absolutely beautiful and stocked with everything you could need! The view was just beautiful and a gorgeous beach to take long walks! Terry and Mike have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend staying here!

Incredible stay!

Tasty Waves offered everything we were looking for and more. Beautiful, clean, and so much space. Tucked back just off the beach for amazing privacy. Amenities were way beyond expectations! We all loved our stay here. Highly recommend!!

Amazing stay and incredible location!

This home is incredible and immaculate. When we arrived, we were shocked to see it was fully stocked with bottled waters, a mini snack tower, indoor and outdoor games, kayaks and anything else you can think of for the beach. The kitchen was also fully stocked with coffee supplies, pots and pans, glassware, dishware as well as spices other cooking supplies. The views were amazing and so was the beach. We will definitely be coming back.

This was such a beautiful relaxing place.

This cabin was fully furnished and owner was very accommodating. The property was exactly as described. An amazing back yard, right on the lake, such a beautiful view. My family truly enjoyed our trip.

Amazing Stay - Perfect Location

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The cabin is immaculate and right on the lake. The hosts were very accommodating and attentive. You really could not ask for a more beautiful place to stay. The cabin was well equipped with pretty much anything you could possibly need - The hosts truly thought of everything. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic! Worth every penny. We’re repeat VRBO renters and Tasty Waves is one of the best we've stayed in. CLEAN, clean, clean, organized and such attention to detail. First rental where toilet paper for the entire stay was supplied! Everything you need in & out of the cabin (the bag chairs and beach supplies I brought didn't get unpacked). The owners pride really shows

Relaxing experience

Our stay at Tasty Waves was wonderful. The house is so comfortable, well organized and with everything one needs and more to enjoy the area. Especially enjoyed being able to spend time at the different seating areas depending on the weather (inside, screened in porch, porch, outdoor dining area, fire pit area, and the beach. We will remember this stay for years to come.

The property was perfect. The location was close enough to things we needed but secluded enough to feel like we were in our own paradise. The owners were easy to communicate with and super friendly. Our family had an amazing time and we hope to be back soon!!

Great Week on the Lake!

This was a most enjoyable week in a beautiful log house on Lake Huron. There were six adults over 75 y.o. that enjoyed their time here and were very comfortable, which at our age we need to be. : ) Our hosts thought of everything. We had such a good experience that we booked a week for next year and look forward to another wonderful week on Lake Huron, God willing.

Incredible house

This house is definitely better than the pictures show. Everything was beautiful and Mike and Terry have thought out every detail for you to have a wonderful trip. We’ve had lots of good luck with rentals, but this was top of our list.

Loved it!

Beautiful place, lots of memories. The Sanders went above and beyond and thought of literally everything. The house is gorgeous, the beach was clean. They truly care about making you feel at home while you are there. We can't wait to come back!

We have been married 36 years and have 3 adult children. We live in Alpena, Michigan, only a 45-minute drive from the cabin, and are very attentive to the needs of our guests.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

Tasty Waves is a unique modern cozy cabin on wooded lot with beautiful sandy beachfront. The lake is shallow for a good distance, making it family friendly and enjoyable for children. We have 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boards, as well as other water toys for fun in the sunshine. We have lots of games and puzzles and a screened covered porch for days when the weather is not at its best. The cabin is open year-round.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The cabin is located in Northeast Michigan on an epic beach. You can find some of the best golfing in Michigan (90 holes) within a short drive of the cabin. Lakewood shores has three challenging 18 hole courses, one of which is the Scottish links course, that can be humbling experience. You will have great towns and cities to explore, such as Harrisville and Oscoda within 10 miles, Tawas within a 30 minute drive, and Alpena within 45 minutes. Multiple trail hiking complex's within 15 miles. The Au Sable river for paddlers of all types.
The property has a trail with with small dunes that lead you to the beach that will provide a stunning view. You can walk for miles either north and south along the beach. You will have plenty of things to do at your leisure. In the evening enjoy a fire by the beach under the stars. In the morning you wake to the sounds of the waves and a sunrise that you won't forget. Coffee at sunrise on the porch off the master bedroom a great start to the next day.
Fall color tours are amazing in Northern Michigan. Winter brings snowshoeing and cross-country skiing on groomed trails a short distance from the cabin.
