To all future guests, we have a lengthy review history at this property and we have had all 5 star reviews, a single 4 star review, and now a 2 star review from Candice. We had a guest departing the same day that Candice's group was scheduled to arrive. This is a larger home and it requires 4-5 hours to clean properly. Check in time is at 4 pm. Candice inquired about members of her group checking in early and I politely informed her that we would likely need until 4 pm to prepare the unit. Despite this communication, a family of 5 with 3 young children arrived at the home at 2:30 pm, an hour and a half early for check in. The group was very pleasant and they had been driving all day. They were all clearly tired and a bit agitated from the long trip, so despite our housekeeping team still having an hour and a half of work to do, I told the group that they were welcome to go inside early even though the home was not ready. I thought this would get the stay off to a great start. I would consider this going above and beyond for a group of weary travelers. I have young children so I am completely sympathetic to the need for parents to get little one's out of the car after a long road trip! Our housekeeper was trying to finish cleaning the kitchen and floors with 5 extra people moving about the interior of the home. I asked Candice to provide some feedback on what kitchen items she felt would improve the experience and I received no response. We did have an issue with the clothes dryer. I immediately offered to remedy this situation as best I could by covering the cost of a pick up/drop off laundry service for our guests, dropping off extra towels, etc...whatever they needed. Candice asked if we could drop off more kitchen towels and we dropped off clean, fresh kitchen towels for them the very next morning. This is a non-smoking home. We have hosted dozens of stays and there has been zero mention of cigarette odor. I'm not sure where this claim is coming from. We are getting into the colder season so it is possible there may be some type of burn smell when the furnace kicks on the first few times. The above review also mentions a lack of supplies. As is mentioned in all of our booking confirmation messages, we do provide an initial stock of supplies that is more than sufficient for the majority of our guests, as a matter of face we have received lots of feedback from happy guests regarding the surplus of supplies that we provide when compared to other stays they've had in the past. It is clearly noted in our messaging that the guests will need to replenish supplies if they consume our initial allotment. Future travelers, please book with confidence.
