Pinetree Chalet is built with an architectural "Prow" design to surround you with 20' soaring picture windows featuring truly stunning panoramic mountain views. Immerse yourself in nature and watch for wildlife as you hang out in the Great Room or deck after an activity-filled day.

Look through our photos of the space available for groups in our Great Room... a grand table is perfect for extended family meals, games, puzzles and meetings; the adjoining living and family rooms offer plenty of seating with flexible arrangement for one large, or two smaller group settings. Cooks will find a nicely equipped kitchen to create feasts for the group... all while enjoying the view.

We've designed the spaces in Pinetree Chalet specifically for our own large family, focusing on creating a wonderful flow to gather together, while also offering some intimate spaces for privacy. Throughout the house you'll find extensive use of wood, unique handcrafted items, wrought iron accessories, lodge-style decor, comfy beds, and space for the family to gather together in comfort.

Ski to the house in winter, or follow the stream up the mountain as you embark on your hiking adventure right from the front door. It is impossible to overstate the awesome experience of the open-air hot tub. Pinetree Chalet is ideally located an easy 5-10 minute walk from Sun Peaks Village and Sunburst chairlift in Sunburst Estates, which is a house-only neighbourhood. We are family-focused and committed to hosting guests who will uphold the peaceful nature of neighbourhood, especially between 10pm and 7am.

PINETREE CHALET offers flexible options for groups of various sizes. 6 BD IS LISTED HERE which includes both the Main House plus the Sugar Pine Suite. We can accommodate a maximum of 16 guests.

ADD LODGEPOLE HIDEAWAY (OPTIONAL):

Lodgepole Hideaway is perfect for groups needing an additional room. A spacious tv/recreation room by day has 2x chaise sofas that become xl-double beds at night. Ensuite with shower. This option may only be available under special circumstances - please inquire.

The layout works well whether you're planning a Sun Peaks destination wedding with a private honeymoon area, a family reunion or a corporate retreat with separate sleeping areas and beds. Your bed will be made up with a temperature-regulating New Zealand wool pad; thick organic cotton sheets, or 400+ tc premium cotton sheets for breathe-ability and a bed that you will look forward to returning to. Queen beds also have featherbed or memory foam toppers. A guest commented that she rarely sleeps well, but had one of the best sleeps she's ever had in her Pinetree Chalet bed.

PLEASE NOTE: We take VRBO bookings up to 1 year in advance. Our rates are based on length of stay starting at 2+ nights, number of bedrooms and guests, which mostly fits into VRBO's booking system but a quote will give you the correct rate.

Our large family lives throughout BC. Sun Peaks is a central location to us all, and we've made it very comfortable for our own family reunions. When we are living our "normal lives" we're delighted to offer it to other families to enjoy Sun Peaks year-round activities.

Skiing at Sun Peaks is a wonderful experience, with runs for all experience levels, Alpine trails for snow shoeing and x-country skiing. Mountain biking, hiking nearby lakes, watching the ever-changing mountain views, and a village described by one of the "kids" as a Mini-Disneyland - plus a serene escape from everyday life make this a wonderful vacation spot for a weekend or much longer.

Pinetree Chalet is in the Sunburst Estates quiet neighbourhood, which is a short walk to Sun Peaks Village. Guests are expected to respect and maintain the peacefulness of the area. We offer a ski-in location from blue or green runs right to the hot tub and front door.

We are able to offer flexible options, depending on your group.
Rates noted here are based on the 6-bedroom option. Please ask for a quote for our 4- bedroom, 4-bedroom-plus-Hideaway, or 6-bedroom-plus-Hideaway options.

Groups will appreciate:

- Great Room with 20' ceilings;

An important and unique feature of Pinetree Chalet Sun Peaks is that the house has such flexible sleeping options, allowing extended families plenty of space to spread out. The separate suite is ideal as a quiet oasis, with its' own private entrance (no indoor access).

Our Sun Peaks home was chosen because of its' large gathering areas with spectacular panoramic views.

The ski run to the house is a treat. As the snow melts, follow the stream from the trail head to take you exploring on Tod Mountain - right from the property.

You will never tire of the ever-changing and spectacular mountain views.

It's been mentioned before... but we cannot pass the opportunity to mention again the unique and wonderful experience of the open-air hot tub built literally on the slope of Tod Mountain.
