We had a wonderful stay and especially loved the location. The house is very spacious with shabby chic decor and pretty natural surroundings. The beds were comfortable and gas fireplace much appreciated during the winter season. Walking in the neighborhood was a pleasure and trips to town for dining were quick and easy.
I think it is helpful to know that one of the bedrooms listed (upstairs queen bedroom) is actually just part of the living room which has been partitioned off and therefore not really private. Also, the only way up and down to the two downstairs bedrooms is the small spiral stairway that is pictured, which could be tricky depending on age and size. The heating system consists of both central air and wall units, which can be noisy at times.
Our main concerns had to do with cleanliness and housekeeping. Several of the blankets on the beds either had permanent stains or had not been washed since there were new stains and dog hair present. The bath mats also had not been washed. Therefore we had to do some washing ourselves. Several bathrooms did not have either hand or bath soap so we had to hunt around and redistribute the supply. The kitchen did not have a sponge for washing dishes. Hopefully these things will be addressed by the property manager, who was very responsive and welcomed our input.
