Hi Jennifer, We wish you would have reached out to us during your stay with the issues you mentioned here as we never heard from you after we addressed your concerns about the pool not meeting your standards (by paying for our pool cleaner to make an additional visit on a Sunday). If you would have written us, we would have addressed your concerns, as our goal is for every guest to have a 5 star experience. Future guests, please read the 40+ reviews on the “other vacation rental platform” for a more accurate picture of our home. The AC runs throughout the whole house, including the master room, and there are also ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We do everything we can to ensure our guests have a wonderful experience, as you will see from the many reviews on “the other platform.” Feel free to reach out to us with any questions or inquiries. We have over seventy 5 star reviews; this is our only 3 star review over three platforms and it is disappointing since we worked hard to meet your expectations. You mentioned to us that you often stay often at high-end hotels and sent us a long list of recommendations, such as having a person nearby to provide extra hand soap on-demand. Vacation homes and hotels are not the same, but we did all we could to make your stay enjoyable, including replacing the barbecue with a brand new one. We have an excellent cleaner and maintenance crew who will come fix any problem, as you experienced. We care about our guests and the quality of their stay, so we urge potential guests to read our other reviews and write us with any questions. You will see that this home is definitely not 3 stars.

We appreciate your feedback, Katlyn and wish you the best. For future guests: Please note that we have nearly one hundred 5 star reviews across two platforms so far and this is an outlier. Unfortunately, Katlyn stayed in the middle of two record-breaking hurricanes which caused issues beyond our control. Garbage collection service was stalled across the whole area due to the hurricane, so it couldn’t be picked up before her arrival. Debris was blown onto the patio and in the pool from massive winds so the condition of the outdoor area that Kaylyn experienced was out of the norm. We had our pool cleaner attend to the pool and we have pictures from him of the cleaned pool. No issues were told to us at all until after checkout so we weren’t given the opportunity to correct them. Lastly, our cancellation policy dictates that there are no refunds if not given 48 hours notice, but we refunded the one night they missed out of compassion due to the hurricane. At the time Katlyn thanked us and wrote to us saying that our refund was “perfectly fair” so we’re surprised at her review here. Please read all our other reviews to get an accurate picture of what to expect when staying at Paradise Palms, especially when not right after a devastating hurricane.
