Amazing stay!

We loved the space of the property and how it is in between Cody and Yellowstone which made it easy for all the things that we did. The views of the mountains were amazing too. The cabin had everything that we needed. The only bad was that the shower in the master bathroom didn’t have much pressure but the soaking tub was really nice. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay. Nice, private location close to Yellowstone and Cody. The house was fully stocked with all essentials we needed. Great views of the mountains and it was enjoyable watching the deer that came on the property. The only complaint I would have is the lack of water pressure in the master bathroom shower.

Ptarmigan Ranch

We loved our stay at Ptarmigan Ranch. The view from the home was wonderful. It was close to town and close to Yellowstone. There were 6 of us staying and the home was perfect. We even caught 2 trout in the stream on the property.

First The GoodThe location of this home is excellent. Roughly half way between Cody and Yellowstone, it was the perfect location to fit our itinerary of activities in Cody and Yellowstone. Setting around a fire at dusk surrounded by mountains and just feet away from the horses on the property my family formed memories that will last a lifetime. The beauty of this part of the country is hard to describe in words. It must be experienced. The house was more than large enough to meet the needs of my family of 5 and had all the amenities we needed. Now The BadThe house has a serious termite and moth problem. On the first night the master bathroom was overrun by termites. The owner sprayed the next morning but the termites came back every evening. That part of the house was mostly unusable throughout our stay. Moths were a continuous problem throughout the house. I would recommend that before you book a stay here you confirm that the owner has had the bugs professionally eradicated. If not for the bug issue, this would be a great place to stay.

Location, Views, Home away from Home

Property was perfect for the family. Plenty of room for everyone. Looking out the windows to the snow capped mountains when you wake up was amazing. Mule Deer in the yard every day! Short drive to Cody, WY with all of the amenities plus just a few miles to the least entered gate into Yellowstone made for a enjoyable stay. Home was equipped with enough dishes to prepare any meal we wanted. Only down side to property we saw were cobwebs and dust in living areas. Had one issue with plumbing but was taken care of immediately when notified the rental. Would recommend to all.

Listing Issues

I was very clear that we needed four rooms for four adults. One of the four rooms did not have a bed? So we had someone sleeping on the couch the whole trip.

We are sorry there was confusion. Looking back at communication it was not asked if there were 4 bedrooms nor mention of needing 4 separate beds. We double checked the listing and it also is only listed as a 3 bedroom home. Hope you still had a wonderful stay and would have been happy to assist during your stay. Our assistance is just a phone call away.

House was great! Close location to Yellowstone and to Cody. Had everything we needed. The kids loved watching the horses and the view was excellent. Had plenty of room for family of six, house didn't have air conditioning, but they had plenty of fans and house cooled off nice at night with windows opened. We loved it and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks!
