Stay in Rapid City

This house is excellent with beautiful views overlooking Rapid City. The house is immaculately clean, well stocked with everything you need and lots of room for everybody. The hosts are great with their instructions and very responsive. 5 star stay. Our family loved it.

The house was a very convenient location to Rapid City. Just minutes from eateries and Walmart.

The house was well equipped with all that we needed. The house was very clean and comfortable except the upstairs bedrooms stayed too warm for our comfort. When we turned the cooler on, the downstairs would get cool but the upstairs stayed warm. It was a struggle keeping everyone comfortable as far as temp settings. When we arrived there was no hot water available and my husband went downstairs to check the hot water heater and the pilot light was out. He relit the pilot and the issue was resolved and we had hot water. My sister in law who is in her 60’s fell twice going downstairs. She decided to use the downstairs bed room because of the temp issue upstairs. The landing is deceptive because there is one more step from where the wall ends and it blends with the hardwood so she missed that step twice. My husband pulled a rug from the bathroom just so she would see the contrast between the bottom step and the landing and that worked. The railing on the back deck is very flimsy so don’t lean on it and if you have small children beware of the railing. It’s a long drop to the ground and it has concrete stone below so someone could get hurt badly. There is no blind in the kitchen window so if you are trying to cook breakfast its hard to see with the sun blaring in your eyes. Don’t get me wrong, I love the sun and watching the sunrise but in the kitchen it was blinding. I rigged up a make curtain with paper towels and that worked. All in all we had a good stay, I would rate the stay 7/10 based on the comfort, cleanliness, and location.
