River View

Loved the river view. Very clean and good sized. Great host. Would definitely stay again.

Overall comfortable--suggestions for improvement

I travel a lot for work, and typically do not leave reviews, but I have a few recommendations for improvement--The room had an odor, like wet dog, and the little couch was not very clean so I did not sit on it. I was not travelling with my dog, so perhaps there was another room option that I did not see as I booked very last minute. (I left the window open for fresh air and the sound of the river was pleasant.) I did leave a text that there were dead bugs in the windowsill so the cleaner should take note of that. The water had a funk like algae, after I made some tea, I found the filtered water in the fridge. (I did not notice a sign that mentioned not to drink it.) Also, I feel that the rate of the room was priced very fair as it is off season as well, however when you finalize the booking it adds a very high cleaning fee, my recommendations would be to adjust the room rate accordingly adding the cleaning fee. I understand the added fee if you are bringing a pet, but since I was travelling solo and without a dog, there was not a lot to clean. I am merely giving honest feedback here. On a good note, I really appreciated the coffee beans and grinder, the clean comfortable bed, the view of the river and the outside fenced in yard--which if I were to bring my pup, would be an added bonus! All in all, I would not be opposed to staying again.

Relaxing!

The property was very clean and well taken care of. And the river view was beautiful. Just as I had hoped for. Thank you for a lovely spot to unwind!

Smell

The place was very cute. The shower is sooo small you can barely turn around. The drains in the shower and sinks smell like septic. The place was very clean but the smell was so bad. We almost left to stay at another place because of the awful septic smell emitting from all the drains. It smelled like a gas station bathroom .. because of that, I can’t recommend this place nor would I ever stay here again. It’s a shame!

Hi Marion, We are so sorry that was your experience. We did discuss it with you when you brought it up to us and we offered to have someone come in and check it out. You did decline for us to come look at it. We could have also put you in a different spot if you did not want to stay. We wish you would have let us make it better for you. We have had a plumber come out and dealt with the issue. Maybe you could try us again in the future!
