Our stay was great, communication was excellent. There are no amenities in the bathrooms, i.e. shampoo & body wash. Which should probably be made clear in the description. I would have loved to have had a full-size ironing board. The golf cart was a little difficult to drive, so you did not use it. The house was large enough for us, plenty of beds and space! Thank you, we loved Emerald Isle & North Carolina!

A great vacation home!

We had a wonderful vacation and loved this house. The owners were extremely receptive and everything is just as described. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Perfect home for a big family

Visited Emerald Isle over the 4th of July with extended family the area is very busy during that time but the house is located in a great neighborhood to enjoy everything and the golf cart makes getting around a breeze. Hosts were so accommodating and go above & beyond to make the stay perfect.

Great for families.

The house is great- spacious and well-maintained, equipped with everything that you might need. The golf cart makes it easy to get to the beach. The hosts were excellent - very responsive and helpful with recommendations.

Family beach trip

Loved our stay here. Very accurate description, easy to communicate with owners. By far the best stocked kitchen ever and loved eating on the screened in porch. Lots of extras in the shed.

Great option for big group

We just returned from our week at Emerald Isle and this house was fantastic for our group of 14. Quiet location, well stocked kitchen, access to golf cart, excellent communication with homeowner=great choice. We lived on the huge screened porch. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect place to stay with the family. Loved the screened in porch and the golf cart. Had coffee and tea every morning at the little shopping center. Fish Hut was fabulous for lunch or dinner. Nice quiet neighborhood. Definitely would rent again!

Family Thanksgiving

My siblings and I have rented a house on Emerald Isle on Thanksgiving for several years now. This house was just what we were looking for. Plenty of room with the kids play area upstairs, spacious kitchen, and plenty of beds for everyone. Just a short ride to the beach.

Are you serious?

I am, this home was perfect! We had seven adults and five children with us and everyone slept comfortably. The play area for children upstairs kept them entertained for hours. The screened-in porch provided one of the several places for everyone to enjoy time with one another. It is a convenient location and so fun for the kids to take the golf cart to the beach just minutes away. We will make this an annual vacation spot!

Family Get Away

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Emerald Isle is our home away from home, as we’ve vacationed there for nearly 30 years. This is the first time that we’ve stayed on the Sound side. The location is perfect. It is close to one of our newest favorite places to eat (Fish Hut) and quick access to the beach. The golf cart was a nice addition, as was the beach chairs and cooler. The house has plenty of room, especially upstairs. We didn’t have any kids this trip, but the upstairs would be ideal for kids to have their own hangout. The large front porch table is also a great gathering place.

Best place, space and location

Michael and Susan were wonderful hosts. They were always prompt in their communication and their listing description and pictures are accurate. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (4yr-11yr) and never felt crowded. I looked at several rentals and many were on the other side of the island. After staying at Emerald Isle, I’m so glad I made the choice to stay at ‘Isle be loving you’. We were able to take the golf cart to the beach and even to the grocery store. It made traveling around the town so easy and fun. I highly recommend this place. One of my favorite vacations and so much of that had to do with staying at ‘Isle be loving you’.

Great stay at Emerald Isle!

My family and I had a great time. Michael and Susan were quick to answer any questions and/or offer recommendations on places to visit and to eat during our stay. The house was open and comfortable, with plenty of room and the pictures don't do it justice. The extras like the golf cart and many items in the shed for our use were amazing bonuses too!! The house was conveniently located near everything we wanted to see while there, which saves on gas as well. The guidebook they created was a nice touch too, with everything laid out nicely for ease of use, covering ocean swimming/hurricane safety, local faves and much more. They were wonderful hosts and we were blessed to be their 1st guests! Thank you for making our stay away from home as comfortable as possible. Annette, Scott, Kyle, Cody and Noah

The host was quick to respond to my questions and initial booking of the property. Communication was great.The property was exactly as described, well maintained, and very clean upon our arrival. Really enjoyed having bunk beds with a queen on the bottom. The kitchen was well-equipped and had just about everything we needed. The open room layout was good for cooking, watching TV, and had a table large enough to play card games. It was nice to have a second TV sitting room upstairs.Having access to a golf cart to take to the beach access simplified our stay. It was about a 5-minute golf cart ride to the beach access. The beach was great, the water was emerald green, even at low tide, which is typically unusual.Hit the Bogue Inlet pier one day to fish, 17.50 for 2 rods, and includes validating your parking pass. Nice pier, the blues were running, they were coming over the railing about every other cast.Used the kayak one day to fish in the sound. Put in at the Cedar Street Park and paddled the islands down to the marina. Ended up catching a speckled trout and a few blues. I Spooked a couple of decent-sized reds. Sound is shallow, so it was nice to have a kayak to see all the marine life.Great house, good layout, plenty of space, and well stocked.

Spacious and comfortable

The house has everything we needed for a weeklong family reunion. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and baking our meals at home. The open floor plan downstairs allowed everyone to spread out comfortably. We enjoyed watching the late night summer storms and feeling the breeze in the screened porch. It was also a great place to safely store our surfboards and fishing gear. The extra living area upstairs was a good space for the teens to escape from the adults. They had their own TV and plenty of board games to entertain themselves. Also there are toys for toddlers for families with little ones. The golf cart was nice to have available. We had plenty of beach things for use, including lots of beach towels and chairs, a large cooler, shovels and toys, an umbrella and mat. We didn’t use the kayak but they provided lifejackets in various sizes. The owners were prompt with responding to questions before and during our stay. They were clear about what the property provided (starter dishwasher and laundry detergent) and what wasn’t (shampoo/conditioner and bath wash/soap). Checkin and checkout process was easy. We would consider staying here again.
