Family Getaway

We brought our children and grandchildren for a stay while we were working in the area. It was a great get away and the home was perfect for our big family.

Great place for large party

We stayed here with our friends and little kids. It was perfect: bright, spacious, very close to ocean. Kitchen had everything we needed. And outdoor patio was great bonus.

family visit

Nicely updated property. Beds and linens were very nice. Kitchen dishes, pots, pans, etc were well stocked. Cottage was larger than we expected. Rooms were all spacious. Kids enjoyed all of the games and the game console. Decks were nice but it was a bit cool for us to use them much. Location was convenient to walk to the beach. There was a whale in the bay that we saw multiple times.

Nice house in a beautiful location

House was very clean, beds were high quality memory foam mattresses and extremely comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious and overall the house was lovely. Nice quiet neighborhood in a beautiful area. The only damper on our experience was when we went to check in the coded electronic lock on the door wasn’t functioning properly and we were unable to access the property for about 20-30 minutes after we arrived. We were unable to get a hold of the property manager and after trying a number of different things we finally unjammed the door. We had issues with the lock a couple more times during our stay, one of which we weren’t able to lock the house while we were gone for the evening. Overall it was a great house that suited our needs for this trip. It was unfortunate we had an issue with the lock.

Unfortunately when we arrived the place was like an ice cube and there is a ceiling fan in the kitchen/living room area that was running and did not turn off, plus half the lights in the kitchen and half the baseboard heaters were not working. We eventually found the breaker box, there are two of them, one outside and one in a bedroom and were able to get the lights back on but not some of the baseboard heaters. We had do go out to the breaker box at least twice a day. We messaged the owners of the property and eventually got a response from the son saying that they were out of town and that he would try to get someone out to fix the issues. No one every showed up and we never heard back from the son. I sent several more messages after we checked out to the owner about the issues and some additional recurring charges to my credit card that were not authorized and never heard back from the owner/manager. The house was cute and comfortable, lots of room for our group of six women to stay. The house is in a great location with an easy walk to the beach. Overall we had a nice relaxing weekend despite the few hiccups.

Birch Bay Blessing

Our family had a perfect time at the Blaine house. Everything we needed was provided. Our daughter's 30th birthday party was amazing in part because of this location. Thank you!
