Laundry in the home! 2 blu-ray players with HUNDREDS of DVD & Blu-ray movies along with 3 TV’s (2 with apple TV’s) and INTERNET INCLUDED, board games, and other activities! USB outlets available in the bedroom and living room. Laundry in the home. Quiet neighborhood just minutes to all sorts of fun and activities!

Starter pack included of toilet paper, paper towels, coffee, creamer, sugar, salt & pepper, oil, etc. Provided.

Nearby activities include: horseback riding, zip lining at the Territory in galena, shopping, dining and exploring history in downtown galena, Dubuque offers 2 casinos, shopping, riverfront dining, waterpark, River museum (great for kids), crystal lake cave,and more! Chestnut mountain features the alpine slide in the summer, zip lining, and skiing in the winter! Visit “franks finds” in Savanna IL along with Palisades State Park, Havencrest Mansion, and Poopys biker bar!

We had a great stay! Needed a good spot near galina for a wedding and the house was perfect. Travis was very accommodating with our check in needs and made the whole things very easy. Highly recommend!

The Hanover hangout is such a cool spot! The jukebox and games are perfect for a night away. Our host was very responsive and helpful with local suggestions. The welcome book with the “before” photos was really cool to see!

Cozy house, great central location

This cozy house had everything my family needed for our little getaway, complete with games and toys that helped keep our daughter entertained :) Had some cool pieces of décor as well that added to the ambience of the house. It was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood - and the location was perfect for us since we were visiting both Galena and Mississippi Palisades State park

Perfect Getaway!

Very cute and cozy house! My boyfriend and I loved the simplicity of the driving distance to Galena and having a house to return to afterwards where we could relax. Had everything we needed for cooking and tons of games and movies to watch. Would definitely return again!

Beautifully renovated property

The owners recently renovated the home, very well done. Very homey feel throughout the entire home. Responsive owner. Fair price. Quiet and safe location. 25 minutes to downtown Galena. Great place for breakfast near by, Charlie’s Place.

What a great little place to stay

The house was just as it was advertised. A clean well thought out home. Very comfortable. Had great time relaxing. Even when the storms blew in. I felt safe and sound. The owner was always just a text away and very responsive. I will definitely be coming back to explore this area again.

Everything I Needed

Great amenities, quiet street, peaceful retreat from the summer heat. I stayed there to visit a Hanover friend who has cats (I’m allergic) and she ended up staying with me because it was so lovely. We could have settled in for quite a movie marathon with the excellent collection of DVDs. We found everything we needed, and communication was clear and friendly.

*Chose this location due to proximity to Galena. Easy drive to get back and forth. *Property very clean inside. *Could use a few repairs outside. Not great curb appeal. *Owner very responsive to emails.

House was perfect with a lot of spread out space. It was only myself and my husband but if young kids were with, the upstairs space would make for a nice hideaway. We are very outdoor people and enjoyed the backyard picnic bench to hang and enjoy meals. Lots of amazing things.. like a real jukebox. We didn't use it as we were adventurous in local neighborhood towns. Bringing foil was good as we cooked in to save money. A grill outside was provided but the night was rainy so we just cooked in. Travis was willing to allow us to do a fire outback but the rain kept us in. He has tons of DVD movies to choose and lots of games. We did love the front sunroom and sat in there the evening it rained. The place is not far from Elizabeth where we went to the antique mall.. Galena , where we walked town and went to the Great hot air balloon race. We even took a road trip to the Dubuque botanical garden. next time we'd visit the crystal lake caves in Dubuque as well ,we just didn't have time.Travis is reasonably priced with his home and we prefer the more spread out feel over a hotel. If cooking...bring ziplock bags and foil. Everything was as described. We would definitely stay again when in the area. Drive way was steep but he States in description. We were fine in our escape. I believe he stated street parking was allowed as well. We would definitely always support our veterans and this was a great way to do just that. So book and Don't forget ,thank him for serving!!
