We live close to this property and have rented it several times for summer visitors when we couldn't fit them all into our house. Everyone who has stayed there has always been happy with its location, amenities, and cleanliness. We have particularly enjoyed how well it works for meals for ten or more people with its merging of indoor and outdoor seating that still makes everyone feel like part of the same group. We look forward to having friends and family stay there again.

Great communication from the host. Clean house with a very nice deck. The water heater is a little small for big groups if everyone is trying to shower back to back.

Beautiful and roomy

This was a perfect setting for hosting our family Thanksgiving. Fairhaven is nearby as are walking and hiking trails.

Lovely stay

We were in town for a wedding and could not have asked for a more convenient lovely place to stay! The host was incredibly helpful and responsive and tried her best to get us early check in and late check out. The home is very clean and spacious and surprisingly well stocked for a vacation rental. Highly recommend staying here!

Perfect location, beautiful home!

Very thoughtful layout of the home made it a great place for a multi-family getaway with kids. Easy access to the interurban trail for running and hiking. And very close to Larabie State Park. We loved this home!

Bellingham Getaway

A perfect spot from which to explore the local mountain trails,waterways,and enjoy the attractions of Bellingham. The layout was great and deck appealing. The kitchen is fully equipped, even down to an appreciated welcome basket.

Wonderful home and location

My group of 7 friends very much enjoyed our stay at the Chuckanut Mountain Retreat. The home is beautiful, and we loved having the open space to hang out together. The location is also perfect for hikes in the area and trips into downtown Bellingham and Bow. Communication with the hosts was also excellent. We would definitely come back!

Great Chuckanut Bay home

This is the second time we've had family members stay at this house which is very close to ours. For them, everything about it is just right. The house itself is clean and comfortable. Check-in and check-out is easy. Proximity to the interurban trail and other hikes as well as close water access makes it a great summer place to stay.

Beautiful retreat for a family gathering

We had a wonderful visit start to finish. Family in town for an event with several of us staying at this house. Great location, very close to everything. Clean spacious house, great spot for us to stay. Attentive owners, thoughtfully appointed. This is perfect for a larger group, weekend or weeks away. We'll definitely be back. Excellent.

Bellingham's Hidden Gem

This was the perfect spot to call home base just outside of Fairhaven and Bellingham. The home was comfortable and well stocked with dishes, cookware and a convenient coffee machine. Parking to fit 4 cars if needed. The caretaker who lives in the unit adjacent to the home was almost unnoticeable during our stay. This place is a hidden gem and will be our go-to spot for future Bellingham excursions!

Clean and Bright

We booked for 3 nights for an event in the area. We found the home to be very comfortable and open. The bedrooms and bathrooms were unusually large. Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We had a family dinner and the place was perfect for entertaining. We used the glass garage door which connects the deck to the home for easy entertaining. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for our extended family!

This was a great landing spot for our two families with teens in town for a family event. The home was well set-up, clean, comfortable. Host was super responsive to all questions and requests. "This was the easiest, most drama-free vacation home rental we have experienced," exclaimed a member of our family! The home looks like what the photos show, except the bunk beds are no longer there but there are two beds and a futon in that room, and there is more furniture on the deck. Air conditioning worked well! Garage door was unique and fun to have open. Easy access to Fairhaven and Bellingham. We would all stay here again!

Great house south of Bellingham

My family and I gathered here for two nights and found the property to be even nicer than expected - very clean, light, and new. We really enjoyed the big dining table and a kitchen that was big enough to move around, even with 3-4 of us working together in the kitchen. Also, lots of seating in the family room to all enjoy time chatting or watching a movie. The beds were comfortable, the AC was much appreciated on a hot day, and it was quiet for sleeping. The deck is lovely, though does have some traffic noise from the road below. We liked the close proximity to Fairhaven and the general Bellingham area for wandering through shops, grabbing groceries and picking up pizza for an easy dinner. Overall, a fantastic place that we really enjoyed and would happily return to again!

Highly recommended

Our stay here was a solid 10/10. There were six adults: my husband and I, my in-laws, my dad, and my daughter. We were in Bellingham for my son’s graduation. The house was absolutely ideal. Quiet in the evenings, a gorgeous huge deck to have dinner and relax in the sun, enough room that we were never on top of one another, and the cleanest, most well-equipped house we’ve rented. The process was so smooth. Parking was more than adequate for our two vehicles, plus my son when he came for dinner. The on site managers were so quiet and unobtrusive we honestly weren’t sure if they were home until our last day. Beds were all very comfortable, and the sofas were great for hanging out. We will absolutely rent here again!

Lovely New Hone

Truly beautiful new home and exceptionally clean. Quality furniture and linens. Kitchen was a bit sparse for us cooks but the essentials are there. Real problem with the stove, which I believe is a convection oven. No instructions that we could find and quite complex for these four 60+ women to figure out . Lots of Googling required. Layout of home was nice and very comfortable for our group. Only real issue was the steep driveway with a switchback turn coming one direction. It is also fairly close to train tracks so we could hear the trains at night. Didn’t bother me but two of our party had problems with it. All in all it was a great home with close access to Bellingham.
