Guests have access to the entire home as well as the yards around the home. We do also live on the property and work on the property daily.

We live and work on the property so we are around daily. We try to keep a distance from guests so that they may have privacy.

We do have dogs on the property that roam around. They are very friendly but we do ask that children be under observation if interacting with the dogs. There is a $100 per hour fee for not checking out on time.

Great place for family visit

Visited some family in the area and the space was spacious and had a great play area outside as well as kid friendly inside. It's more rural than downtown Bellingham and had lots of grassy area for our kids to run around and even some blackberry bushes that we picked some fresh berries from. We were able to have our family over for dinner while visiting because of the wonderful huge table and the nice open living/dining area. This was a great option for us.

I'm a lifelong Whatcom County local and commercial fisherman who owns and operates Slack Tide Fisheries, a fisherman-direct seafood business dedicated to bringing high-quality wild Pacific Northwest seafood directly from the water to our customers. I live here on the property with my family, and this is not only our home but also the hub of our fishing operation. Guests will often see commercial salmon fishing boats, nets, and fishing equipment as we prepare for upcoming openings, maintain gear, and keep our operation running throughout the season. The property is also home to our Slack Tide Fisheries fish shop, where we sell fresh, frozen, smoked, and specialty seafood products. Staying here offers a unique opportunity to experience an authentic working waterfront lifestyle and get a behind-the-scenes look at the daily life of a modern Pacific Northwest fishing family.

This location has also been ideal for our family's commercial fishing operation. The acreage gives us the space needed for our boats, nets, and fishing equipment while maintaining the welcoming atmosphere that makes the property special. Depending on the time of year, you may see fishing boats being maintained, nets being repaired, gear being prepared for upcoming openings, or fresh salmon being unloaded and processed through our fisherman-direct seafood business, Slack Tide Fisheries.
The property is also home to the Slack Tide Fisheries fish shop, where guests can purchase fresh, frozen, smoked, and seasonal seafood directly from the fishermen who catch it. Few places offer the chance to stay where the fishermen live, work on their boats, and sell their catch directly to customers.
Beyond the fishing operation, the property features wide-open spaces, mature trees, beautiful sunsets, and plenty of room to relax while still being only minutes from downtown Bellingham and the airport.
