Host was so kind, we got there and the ac wasn’t working, and they were very open in communication about if we needed a refund or find a new place to stay. We decided to stay and wait for repairs. They were there the next day and ac was repaired. House was great, location close to so much. Will definitely stay again

Comfortable Historic Home Near Everything

We loved this property and hope to come here again. The neighborhood is fabulous with lots of charm yet restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. The house has personality and comfort with everything you could need.

Cozy house in great spot!

This house was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was comfortable and in an excellent location. Gayla was very responsive and we’re already looking forward to our next trip.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Hosts were friendly, accommodating and communication was easy. Location was ideal, we were able to walk to restaurants, coffee, etc. The neighborhood was safe with beautiful historic homes and lush trees. The home itself was clean and comfortable, beds were comfy and we appreciated the Roku TV’s for down time. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Gathering

We were in for my daughter's final dance concert at NC State. Great location for walking to restaurants. Only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer.

Wedding at Merrimon-Wynne House

This property was lovely! They really thought of all the little details! The hosts were always prompt in returning messages and the whole process was really easy. Very clean! I would definitely stay here again any time!

First time in Raleigh

This was our first time in Raleigh and our stay was spectacular. The location is prime for a lot of cool little eateries and local spots. Everything is within walking distance. Our stay was comfortable and accommodating with pretty much everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay or longer. Our host was prompt and detailed for check out/check in process. One of the best VRBO experiences we have had to date.

Thanksgiving in Raleigh

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this very sweet house. We had everything we needed, the house is very conveniently located with excellent space and we love the neighborhood. Our hosts are extremely accommodating and even readily helped me with a perceived problem. (totally my fault!) I heartily recommend this property and will be booking it again in the future.

Host was very kind and helpful. House is in a historic area with a very nice neighborhhod featurung fine restaurants and casual dining, however at night it was very noisy and we did not feel safe at all times. There was a fight in the middle of the night in front of the house. The secrity is minimal. Some windows on the property do not have locks and are easily accessed from the street and deck as the fence around the property is falling apart. The house could be very charmig but had a bad odor and we had allergic reactions to dust, mildew or mold. I would recommend the host but not the property until these issues have been addressed.

We had an overall good stay at this home to celebrate a family wedding. The home is located in a safe neighborhood, which we appreciated since we weren’t familiar with the area. There is road noise when sleeping in the front 2 bedrooms but nothing a fan didn’t help keep out. The host reached out prior to arrival to ensure that all vehicles were registered with the city to allow for unlimited street parking during our stay. The host was very responsive and communicated quickly leading up to and throughout our stay. The property itself was not quite as it appeared in the listing photos, and some areas of the exterior could benefit from some upkeep and maintenance. The fire pit area and back porch seating area need updated pictures. The interior has a few cosmetic repairs that need fixing. While these issues did not impact our stay, they are worth noting for future guests. If it is important to you, the house doesn't have a washer and dryer onsite but has a laundromat nearby. This did not matter to our trip but wanted to make a note if it is important to you when renting a home. Overall, we had a positive experience and would return to the property in the future!
