Private 4-Acre Lake Retreat with Dock & Canoe

This spacious cottage offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, perfect for families or groups.

Enjoy a bright sunroom used as a dining area, seating up to 10 guests, ideal for relaxed family breakfasts. The full-size kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs, along with a comfortable living room, laundry room, and a large deck for outdoor relaxation.

The private dock is located approximately 400 feet from the house and requires a short walk. Please note, there is no direct lake view from the house. Access to the dock is wide enough for a medium-size 4x4 SUV.

Pets are welcome with a pet fee. Please add your pet to the reservation. Pricing includes one pet, with a maximum of two allowed.



Important House Rules & Notes

- No smoking inside the house.
- The grill is charcoal (guests must provide charcoal).
- The Canoe is free to use and located at the dock. Use is at your own risk; there is no lifeguard on duty.

This is not a lakefront home the lake is not visible from the house. Guests have private access to a boat dock approximately 400 feet away.

The dock requires a short walk. Access is wide enough for a medium-size 4x4 SUV if needed.


Nature & Outdoor Experience

This is a peaceful, nature-filled setting. The combination of trees and lake may attract bugs, so guests sensitive to insects should bring their preferred bug spray.


Pets

Pets are welcome with a pet fee. Please add pets to your reservation.

Pricing includes 1 pet; a maximum of 2 pets is allowed. The second pet incurs an additional $100 fee.

Untrained dogs or puppies are not allowed.
Dogs must sleep in a crate.
Please bring blankets if pets are allowed on furniture.

Great weekend away

This house was very clean and simple. Made for a perfect weekend away. Plenty of storage space in kitchen and great outdoor fenced area.

Fantastic Retreat

This was a family holiday getaway, that felt more like a retreat. Great accommodations, plenty of space for everyone. Looking forward to returning. This would be my dream second home.

Lake Retreat

This is a great location if you’re looking for privacy. The home was nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated Freddy as a host.

Hickory Lake property May 2023

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hickory lake property. The property was very nice and the short walk to the lake gave great access to fishing, canoeing, and relaxation. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Very Enjoyable!

This was so nice. We came to visit family and being able to enjoy a very room place within only a short walk down to the lake was great. Would definately be interested in staying again.

Great Place!

Great place, very clean! You drive down a few dirt roads and the house is a cute cabin. The house was very clean and the owner answered messages quickly. We had no issues with our stay and would recommend it to a friend!

Great Stay!

We needed a rental to accommodate our off-road race team for an event, and the setup was perfect for what the guys needed. They were able to spread out, cook meals and relax between race days. The house was comfortable, very clean, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again when back in the area. Highly recommend!

Our stay was great! Very private and cozy. The communication with the host was the absolute best!!!!!!!!! Freddy was great, always with a quick response! We enjoyed the stay so so much and we will definitely be back!

We had a great Labor Day!

Freddy was very responsive. The house was very clean and decorated nicely. There’s a walk down to the lake but we didn’t mind. I enjoyed mornings on the dock and we rented the boat from Freddy. It was a great time on the lake!

Family Christmas

The kitchen was amazing, better than any rental we have ever had. The lay out was a bit decieving, the game room is not a game room. It does sleep 8 comfortablely.

Nice time with family.

Very clean and well maintained home. The ad gave the impression (to us anyway) that the lake was adjacent to the house, but it was actually a walk down a trail. Not too far or inconvenient. Trail to lake and outdoors could use some grooming, but again not a hindrance to a good time. Price is right. We enjoyed ourselves and would use again.

Super Clean, Quiet Wonderful Place!

This place was a charming sanctuary and a great stay. First of all, I will say that I am a bit of a clean freak when it comes to hotels and vacation rentals. But this place exceeded all expectations with impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful set up. Laterally I have stayed in world class luxury hotels that could take some lessons from how clean this home was. The home is tucked into this quite little spot that really feels like a sanctuary. There is nice outside space and the home itself is well appointed. The property manager was responsive to request and super nice to work with. All in, one of my best stay experiences anywhere. THANKS!

Thanksgiving 2022

Property was as advertised. House was very clean. Kitchen is well stocked. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner without any issues, I would suggest you bring storage bowls for left overs and prep, besides that there is a good collection of pots, pans, blender to use. We had 6 adults and two children stay with us and my daughter (and family) and son who live in the area came to hang out with us. We did did not feel crammed. We enjoyed the yard, firepit and the dock area. Owner responded in a timely manner to our questions. Definitely a great place to rent.

Beautiful lake

We enjoyed our stay at Freddy's property. The property was spotless and well appointed. There was ample bedding and bathrooms, as well as dining space. We took advantage of the boat rental for 6 days and so glad we did! It's a bit of a hike down to the boat dock (back up is worse ;) ), but well worth it. Lake Hickory is beautiful and peaceful. We had a little issue with the thermostat continuing to reset at a higher temp than we would have liked, but it was manageable. Freddy was responsive and very easy to work with. The only suggestion I would make is to have some sort of a nightstand and possibly a small dresser in the large bedroom that houses 2 king beds. We had to use a dining room table as a nightstand. All in all, it was a great stay!

Over all great place to stay! Very clean! Just wish the family of three cats would of hung out somewhere else other than the deck. They tried to enter the house every time door was opened. Family member was bitten on finger. These cats attacked my husband by jumping on him, yes I said jumped. They leaped onto his chest. Please check into the unwanted CATS at this property! Oh and as read free kayak to use. It was a canoe with no paddles. But overall house and location was perfect.

About the Canoe paddles are at the house you did not ask for them. We'll make sure to include paddle location on our check in instructions thanks for pointing that out.
