The property was romanitically tucked in betweeen the Mississippi River and the the bluffs. It is a very scenic location.

Our extended family loved staying in this home for the weekend. We had 11 adults which consisted of 4 couples and 3 others and although a couple of people had to sleep on couches it all worked well. The home is beautiful inside and out. My husband and I loved sitting out on the little balcony off our room to enjoy some coffee and a snack. I gave all 5 stars and will say that our group was on the older side and did have some issues with the two sets of steps from the street to the house - so not necessarily mobility friendly. All in all it was an incredible weekend with my family and the home offered a wonderful gathering space.

Wonderful weekend stay

We had a family gathering in the area for a weekend. This was the perfect spot for us to gather and spend time before and between outings. Very relaxing spot and the hosts were clearly thoughtful about the guest experience in each room with written instructions for anything that might be confusing. It's a unique house that's easy to relax in and we had a wonderful time there.

Christmas weekend vacation (3 nights)

Great house for our family group of 12. The kitchens were well stocked for cooking, which we did a lot of. The house was very comfortably furnished. It was easy to gather as a large group in the family room or dining room, but also lots of space to be by one's self. The last morning of our stay, we all ended up in the front room just talking before we left.

Nice place but amount of beds is innacurate

The place was very nice and charming, and the host seemed very friendly in their messages. The only problem was the listing said that both living rooms had pull out couches but neither of them did. This means the place has several less beds that what is listed, which could be a very big issue as their listing suggests a higher number of people could stay there then the place actually supports. This caused problems with my group as several people had to share beds who initially had no plans to do so.

Great Stay in Beautiful Fountain City, WI

We rented this property to attend a family reunion in Winona, MN, which is a short drive away over the interstate bridge. Our family consists of my husband, myself, 2 adult daughters and their husbands, along with our four grandchildren ages 5-9 years old. The home was clean and spacious with spectacular views of the Mississippi River from several rooms. The bathrooms were convenient (2 en-suite) and modern. We enjoyed taking the short walk to visit the downtown area of the quaint river-town of Fountain City. There is a public dock in town which was great for friends & family to meet up with us by boat. Logan is a very responsive host and communication with him is easy. Some other reviewers talk about train noise but that did not bother us. We understand that is part of the ambience of long established towns along the river. I did miss not not having a garbage disposal and dishwasher, but then again the home was built in 1898 and the restoration was done to preserve as much architectural integrity as possible. I gave 4 stars for cleanliness only because of the outdoor areas. We needed to sweep the patio areas and clean the deck furniture on arrival. The inside was very clean. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this home as a perfect place to enjoy the beauty of the Upper Mississippi Valley.
