Overall the house is comfortable but it could use a good deep cleaning. We did not have any issues during our stay and the host was kind to allow us to have a late check-out.

Great location for a large group, but plumbing issues held it backWe stayed here over a long weekend with a party of 11, including several kids under 7, and the space worked really well for us. There were plenty of rooms to spread out, the basic amenities we needed were all there, and the location is hard to beat — just minutes from Yellowstone's west entrance, which made getting in and out of the park easy.The main downside was the hot water. It stopped working after the first day and couldn't be fixed for the rest of our stay, so we were bathing the kids in cold water, which was rough. Credit to Bill, who came over quickly to try to sort it out — that responsiveness was appreciated even though the issue couldn't be resolved. The other thing worth flagging is the living room furniture, which is quite old with torn fabric in a few spots.Overall, a solid choice for a big family group thanks to the space and proximity to the park, but the owner should really address the hot water and refresh the living room furniture.

Hi Nikhill, We're glad you enjoyed your 3-night stay over Labor Day weekend! We do apologize for the water heater mishap. As I'm sure any home owner would understand, trying to get a plumber in to take care of a hot water heater is typically a slow process in normal circumstances, and with it happening on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, this process was furrher compounded by none of our area plumbers answering their phones. We were able to get the issue taken care of on Tuesaday afternoon, which unfortunately was your departure day. We will also investigate and address the sofa tears. Thank you for your 4-Star review! We stayed with our children and grandchildren. We were disappointed the pictures and description did not show that the large downstairs ground level room where we intended our grand children to sleep had an external door with no deadbolt. This was a bit unnerving to consider leaving them downstairs by themselves. We got up several times in the night to ensure they were ok. The main bathroom which had the only tub did not have a functional bath drain plug so several of the smaller children could not bathe the entire time we stayed. It was very accessible to Yellowstone Park which was convenient.

Hi Gary, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We understand that outsiders may not be accustomed to life in a small town, but West Yellowstone is a safe place. And in fact, you're the first guest in over 15 years who has had an issue about the door. The floorplans in the photo gallery do show that bedroom has a door to the outside, which typically prompts travelers to either ask about the room or plan for kids to stay in one of the other 6 bedrooms. Had you asked about it, we'd have been happy to reply. We're also sorry you were unable to locate the bathtub drain stop, but we're curious why you didn't call us about it. We live in town and would have been happy to assist you if you had called us using the phone number on the refrigerator sign that says, "If something isn't right, give us call." Doing a quick check of the bathroom after your departure, we found the drain plug in the cabinet under the sink. Amd we're so glad you enjoyed the convenient location. Safe & happy travels, Bill

This property was perfect for our needs. We had a group of 13 ranging in age from 1 to 60. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together or apart depending upon their wishes. There were plenty of dishes and such for a group of our size. Two fridges made it easy for all the food we needed. Everyone loved it and we will definitely stay here again. Some of the rooms and furniture were a bit "tired" but we have no complaints because we couldn't have afforded a more fancy place. COMFORTABLE!! Everything about our stay was comfortable. (Our stay was the first week of June 2026)

The Trails End home was the perfect place for our group of 12 to stay for our vacation to West Yellowstone. The 7 bedrooms allowed us all to spread out, but also having the common areas of the living rooms, dining rooms, and kitchen to be together was fantastic. Bill was incredibly kind and accomodating. The home's location is close to everything in West Yellowstone, and just minutes from the Yellowstone National Park entrance. Most of all, we LOVED the sledding hill at the city park that we could get to in just a few steps! Thank you Bill for having this home available to those of us that want to explore your amazing town. God Bless!
