The Cottage in the Woods is a quaint, comfortable, unique guest house nestled on 6 acres just north of Memphis TN, in the heart of Lucy (Millington, TN.) It has two covered porches, with big private BACK yard overlooking the land. Come enjoy the peace and quiet! 2 BR, I Bath. (1 Queen bed, 1 double bed, 1 twin bed) NO SMOKING INSIDE, no parties or special events or unregistered guests and NO PETS. There is a 10.00 fee per day for each guest over 2. All guests must be listed. The Cottage is only about 20 minutes from Downtown Memphis, 30 minutes to Graceland, is close to USA Ball Stadium, NAS Memphis and Meeman Shelby Forest State Park. We live close by for anything you might need, and we look forward to your stay! :)

A wonderful place to stay. Love the mornings on the back swing listening to the birds and drinking coffee, very peaceful. Leenie was a great host very attentive to our needs. Very clean. Will stay there again!

Relaxing

If we would have had more time, we would have stayed on location more often. We came down to see my Mom. Very nice atmosphere. We would for sure stay again !

Millington Baseball Stay

We came to Millington for a baseball tournament. We were looking for something nice, clean, quiet and convenient. This property checked all those boxes and more. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The host was wonderful to work with.

Enjoyed a beautiful place to stay while working out of town. It had all the comforts of home and was extremely relaxing after a long day of work. You will never find a better host than Leenie.

Quaint and comfy home away from home

We very much enjoyed our stay. We loved the quiet, homey feel, and enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out over the beautiful yard. Leenie was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We were 30 minutes from almost anywhere we wanted to go in Memphis, and we really enjoyed Millington as well. Highly recommend!

Quiet and relaxing yet close to Memphis!

The property is just as relaxing & quiet as promised with not one, but two perfect porches! Leenie thought of everything to make our stay perfect! From comfy beds (the sheets are amazing!), to extra ice & chilled water ready for us-to actually taking the time to call some local restaurants so that we would know if they were open when we arrived on Easter Sunday!The home has ceiling fans throughout, a big smart TV, comfy couches, stools, and chairs. There’s even a desk where you could work if you wanted to. Leenie directed us to great local restaurants and things to do in Millington & Memphis.Thanks for letting visit if we ever visit Memphis again we will for sure stay here!

OUR KINDA PLACE!!

Our stay at “Cottage in the Woods” was wonderful!! We hope to always book “The Cottage” when heading to Memphis. The hosts were wonderful and responsive in every way. It was great to be kinda like out in the country but able to get into Memphis in less than 30 minutes! The Cottage was clean, roomy and, comfortable. There are TWO wonderful covered porches - each with several chairs AND a swing!!! It is surrounded by fields making it seem you are out in the country!! The beds are comfortable, and the pillows and sheets are wonderfully soft. Love the open area including the kitchen, living room and a desk chair and great lighting at the far end of the living room. The laundry room is a plus, too! So …… WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE ABOUT IT?!?!? Thank you for everything, Leenie and Ray!!

Long weekend with grandsons

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for us. Room for our grandsons to run off energy outside. Beautiful porches to enjoy morning coffee & relaxing in the evening. All the comforts of home, very clean inside & outside. Owners are wonderful & close by for any assistance you might need. We were close enough to all the attractions we came to visit. Highly recommend this property.

Peaceful Escape from the Big City

We spent a beautiful three nights at the Cottage in the Woods and could hardly leave. You can expect a well equipped kitchen, a thoughtfully designed space and the beautiful force of a host that is Leenie, who brought us fresh veggies from her bountiful garden and made sure we were happy and well taken care of. Leenie was incredible! She checked in often and greeted us when we arrived. Her hospitality is truly u matched. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this property, but most of all the owner. I rented for my mother and aunt for their annual sister trip. The communication started from the moment I rented and ended with my mom & aunt sending me a selfie with the owner. She went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect from beginning to end. Exceptional stay

This is the perfect location to explore nearby attractions while still enjoying the privacy this cottage has to offer. The owner went above and beyond to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Some of my favorite features was the fire pit, corn hole, watching hummingbirds feast on nectar while I drank coffee on the porch swing, and the comfortable beds. Do not hesitate to book this property, you will not regret it!!!

A great place to stay!

We had a great time at the cabin. The cabin is well stocked and cozy. The land the property sits on is beautiful, peaceful, well maintained, and private. Leenie was a fantastic host who would do anything to make sure you enjoy your trip. We were in town to see the eclipse and we were blessed with clear skies and beautiful weather to view it in. We also visited the pyramid, the Mississippi River, Beale St. and a number of museums and other attractions in Memphis. Everything is very convenient to get to from the cabin. We had a terrific time and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Memphis area.

Baseball tourney

Our high school baseball team played in a tournament close by our cottage. The location was peaceful and relaxing. Would recommend this cottage for a small family or small group of 5 or less as there is only 1 bathroom.

Friends Reunion

This was an amazing place to stay. It was quiet and cozy exactly what we were looking for. A very safe place and space to enjoy some time to catch up with friends and simply relax. We had a cookout complete with a fire pit for conversation. The owners were as amazing as property. Always insuring everyone was comfortable, warm, and offering any suggestions they had about the area to add to our experience. The place was spotless and very tidy. The cottage was well spaced and very well taken care of. It also came with a very high speed internet access that was used for business and personal purposes. Our streaming services were already available, simply login enjoy and logout prior to leaving. I highly recommend this to anyone, and we will be returning for future reunions. We all loved The Cottage in the Woods.

This is a Unique Cottage nestled on 6 acres in the Heart of Lucy, TN. (Millington TN area). Only 20 minutes from Downtown Memphis, 30 Minutes to Graceland. You can get just about anywhere in the Memphis area in about 20 to 30 minutes. We live close by and usually greet you and show you around. Let us know if you need anything. We strive to make the Cottage in the Woods your home away from home!

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Nice big back yard with covered porches. Nicely appointed space with good amenities. Big front porch with BBQ grill and fire pit area. Come get your Chill on! :) We have a corn hole game you can set up on a nice day in the back yard. It is quiet and peaceful around here, we hope you enjoy your stay.
