The house and property is so pretty and suited our needs perfectly. The house is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. We really enjoyed and appreciated all the special decorative touches in and outside of the house! We loved the quiet neighborhood and being so close to restaurants and shopping. We’d love to stay there again!

Cute and adorable. Everything we needed for a quiet, peaceful stay. We really enjoyed all the deer and the close location to Gruene. Can’t wait to stay there again.

Before I even arrived, driving under the quaint, old one-lane trestle, I knew I was home. Upon arriving at the beautifully maintained home and property, I felt my stress just melt away. The house is immaculate and so welcoming. I enjoyed trying my best to befriend the goats and miniature horses and marveled at the multitude of deer; graceful and quick bucks, doe and babies at practically an arm's length from me and my morning coffee. The hosts were just wonderful, immediately available if you need them but allowing you privacy as well. They are also good conversationalists and pretty funny, too. The location is very private and quiet yet a stone's throw from downtown Gruene. I didn't want to leave, and I can't wait to go back. My thanks to Marjorie and her husband for their kind nature and hospitality.

The home and property and owners were beyond amazing. We are definitely wanting to come back during cooler months to spend the most time outside. Everything is exactly as described. The owner is super helpful and quick to respond to any need. The house is the cutest thing ever. The deer are so fun to watch. We would highly recommend this house to anyone. It is perfect!

Clean, cute, and cozy. The perfect space for a girls weekend. Marjorie had the place decorated for Christmas which was the cherry on top!

A beautiful home just a stone's throw from Gruene Hall and a short drive from the water recreation areas on New Braufels. The owner was a prompt communicator throughout the rental process and our stay there. We had an issue with a coffee maker after a few days. I texted Marjorie and almost before I set my phone down her husband was coming throught the gate (they live next door) with a replacement!

Great Stay in Deer Heaven

Loved our few days in the adorable Rahe House and lovely neighborhood amongst the deer. Oh yeah, and nearby Gruene and New Braunfels were fun too!!

Perfect house for a getaway! You feel like you are out in the country, but so close to everything. We spent a day at Guadalupe River State Park and another exploring Gruene that’s only a 5min drive away. The house is very well stocked with amenities and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching deer walk by and listening to the peace and quiet. The owners are next door if you need anything(doubt you will) but were very respectful of our space and privacy. Would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Gruene Getaway

I enjoyed staying here. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, well-outfitted, and well-maintained. Whether relaxing inside or outside with the deer, the house had everything we needed.
