Casa da sci di montagna flessibile

Questa splendida casa è stata costruita su misura nei primi anni '90 e presenta colonne di tronchi sbucciati a mano, antichi tappeti orientali, tessuti Ralph Lauren, pavimenti in pietra, ardesia nei bagni e una sensazione di casa. Il proprietario era uno chef privato e quindi la cucina è favolosa e ha tutto ciò di cui potresti aver bisogno per preparare una cena meravigliosa. La rivista Bon Appetite ha persino fatto una storia in questa cucina! Il piano principale ha una stanza di fango mentre entri per tutta l'attrezzatura da sci. Salite nell'accogliente soggiorno e camminate attraverso la sala da pranzo e nella cucina dello chef. Questo è vicino alla camera familiare. Al piano superiore ci sono quattro camere da letto. Il master con un letto matrimoniale e il proprio bagno privato e cabina armadio. La vista dalla vasca è sulle pendici della solitudine ed è la stessa dal letto. Ci sono altre tre camere da letto, una con un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo al secondo con due letti singoli con rotelle estraibili che possono salire da sotto per fare quattro in totale e anche un piccolo set di letti a castello per bambini. La stanza è molto flessibile e i gemelli possono essere trasformati in re. La quarta stanza è in realtà un grande monolocale. Questa camera ha un letto full size e un trundle completo che può essere utilizzato sotto. Ha un bagno privato e persino la sua cucina. C'è un altro bagno di sala e un bagno di servizio al primo piano.
La mappatura non funziona per questa casa. Siamo situati sulla strada principale del canyon, appena giù per la collina dal lodge Silver Fork e un miglio in discesa dalla stazione sciistica di Solitude. 15 minuti dalla base del Big Cottonwood Canyon e tre miglia in discesa dalla stazione sciistica di Brighton. L'altitudine della casa è di 7500 piedi.

The house is great and Sarah was very helpful. Our extended family enjoyed the nearby ski resorts and relaxing in front of the fire and we would gladly return. Just one note of caution about the location... in the winter, you'll need 4x4 or chains and the Guardsman pass is closed, so it's an hour to get to Park City (more if road conditions or traffic are bad).

I'm so sorry you were expecting us to be 15 mins from Park City. when we are in fact three minutes from Solitude. The mapping on VRBO is obviously wrong. Except for big snow days when 4 X 4 is required in the canyon people find our proximity to the main canyon road quite helpful and can often get away with a regular front wheel drive. I'm so glad your group timed it right with the constant storms.

Stellar!

Our group of retired men absolutely loved this property. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed. Great location close to Solitude and Brighton. Well equipped and very clean and comfortable. Sarah is a wonderful host and was quick to respond to any questions we had before and after our trip. We've stayed at a number of homes and condos for our annual trip and the Flexible Mountain Ski House was the best. Thank you Sarah for everything and for sharing your fantastic place with us!

A perfect mountain spot.

This was one of the coziest mountain properties I’ve ever stayed at. By cozy, I don’t mean small-sized, the house has tons of room, I mean cozy in terms of feeling. The two wood stoves were beautiful, and we had great conversation hanging out around the hearth after ski days, enjoying the warmth of friends and fire. The host was amazingly responsive, and everything worked well at the house. With the close proximity to Solitude and Brighton, it was easy to get skiing without an annoying long drive up the canyon. Great place to stay!

Perfect Location

House was great, stocked with everything you need. The only issue was 2 of the bunk beds were very short and could only accommodate small children. So there's only 6 full size beds. We had to utilize the couch for our 7th person, which was ok because they were big enough to sleep on.

Connor I wish you had asked me about the beds if you were surprised. There is a full sized trundle in the studio you must have missed. I do say the bunk beds are for children under 8 years old .

Wonderful stay near Solitude and Brighton

We just got back from a lovely week at this home. The layout was perfect for our family of 9, which included 3 young kids (who loved the games and dress-up chest in the house). Kitchen had everything we needed. Sarah was an amazing host who took great care to make our stay easy and comfortable, especially considering the incredible amounts of snow they've had this year (which required a team of guys to come shovel off the roof and regular driveway clearing). Thank you so much! We hope to come back sometime!

Beautiful Family Memories

This was a Family ski trip. There were ten of us and this house was super clean and met all our needs. To say the owner was wonderful would be an understatement. She is the BEST. Communication was great. Driveway plowed everyday so it made getting to the slopes so easy. Great snow and a good time was had by all. If we ski Utah again, we would Definately choose this place. Beauty-Inside and Around!

This mountain house provided a perfect place to gather with family and friends! The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were plenty of linens, beds, and places to relax. Each beautifully-decorated room of the house offered its own comfortable vibe with books and games galore. We especially enjoyed our dinners around the table in the dining room, where we laughed and caught up with our sons and their friends. This house was the place to be after a long day of skiing, and the short distance to Brighton was a bonus! Sarah was available for any questions and helped to be certain our stay was all that we needed it to be. We can't say enough about the house and the surrounding beauty of the canyon.

Amazing cabin in the woods

The house was fantastic with plenty of room for larger groups. Very convenient for ski areas and for hiking and sledding. Beautiful setting among the trees. The two wood stoves kept the first floor warm and created a cozy ambiance especially during snowy days. Sarah was an incredible hostess answering all our questions and even decorated the house for Christmas including a tree and stockings hung from the mantel. The house came equipped with sleds, snow shoes helmets and about anything else you needed for outdoor sports. Our family had the best Christmas family reunion we could have hopped for. Would definitely rent from Sarah again.

I'm a Realtor with Keller Williams in Park City. Originally from the U.K, I used to live at this property and moved to Park City in 2010.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

I purchased the home back in 1990 and did a complete renovation that took 4 years.
I wanted a home that had no bedroom that sat next to another bedroom and would give great privacy to everyone there. I also wanted two living rooms that were separated so activities in one wouldn't interfere with the other. I had been running a small bed and breakfast in Alta for 10 years and so knew what it was in a home that guests wanted. I created it here. I was also a private chef at the time so the kitchen is very well laid out and is easy to work in even with a crowd. I love to be in the mountains and this canyon has every thing. Uncrowded slopes, great mountain biking. A wonderful cross country track, excellent back country and superb snow shoeing, yet we are only 15 minutes from the base of the canyon. In the summer we are just 25 minutes by car to Park City over the pass on the Guard road.

We have sleds in the garage for kids. Snow shoes, games and NetFlix on demand movies. Something for everyone! If you are arriving late and would like me to do a grocery shop I can free of charge (you just pay for the groceries). Also ask me about discount ski passes.
