Simply Amazing Experience! This property has magnificent Mountain View’s with beautiful sunrises, peaceful surroundings, and is located in close proximity to everything the area has to offer (Glacier National Park, hiking, swimming , fishing, horseback riding, rafting, etc). The home is very clean and comfortable, well appointed, and the owner and property manager are wonderful! If you’re looking for a beautiful, peaceful stay that is close to Kalispell, Whitefish, Flathead Valley area, we highly recommend this property!

Very clean, very well stocked kitchen. Lots of early sunlight in main room and master bedroom. Huge porch. Lots of space from neighbors.

Our stay at Sunset House was what we were hoping for - for our long awaited trip to Montana. The spectacular view from the living room and the total peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. It was the perfect base for convenience to Kalispell, Lakeside, Flathead Lake, Glacier National Park and many other hiking trails in the area. Our thanks go out to Ellen and Susie for all their help to make our stay enjoyable.

The property manager Susie was lovely and very attentive and helpful! The house was clean and spacious and the kitchen was good for cooking! The A/C was not working when we arrived, but it was promptly fixed. It would be helpful to prospective renters if the property description explicitly stated the fact that there is no air conditioning in the second bedroom. Additionally, it should also be stated that there are two units in the dwelling and that the owner lives on site, as many renters would like to know this up front for privacy reasons. Lastly the one TV in the house is extremely old and is not a Smart TV, which most people desire for streaming. We enjoyed our time there!

Sunrise House

Beautiful, comfortable, and very enjoyable property. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and loved it both times. Conveniently located to Kalispell and Flathead Valley and Glacier National Park.

Great stay

Excellent experience throughout. Accommodation was lovely and truly has amazing views. A good base for trips to Glacier Park.

The house was clean and spacious and the beds and recliners very comfortable. It was a great location in that the views were beautiful, and it was remote enough that we had plenty of peace and seldom saw any of our neighbors. It was an easy drive to town for food, and not far from the places we wanted to visit including Glacier, Flathead Lake. Although a little further, we also enjoyed visiting some hot springs and going horseback riding.

Great location

Sunrise house was perfect for us- we stayed here for over a week and went hiking and mountain biking in the area. The kitchen is well equipped for dining in and overall the house very comfortable after a day of play.

The kitchen was extremely well stocked and the entire house was very comfortable with beautiful views. We often saw deer in the morning and evening very close by. We were surprised by a nice gift basket when we arrived. We stayed for nine nights and were extremely comfortable.

Great house and location

Had a great stay at this wonderful home. Private, quiet with beautiful views. Lots of wildlife. Centrally located to everything Flathead Valley has to offer.

Beautiful views

Sunrise house was very comfortable and had everything you could need. And WOW the views are amazing. It was the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate after exploring beautiful northern Montana.

Beautiful home with a beautiful view

It was a beautiful property inside and out. Quiet and peaceful area with beautiful views of the valley and the mountains. Enjoyed the deer sightings. Kitchen was well equipped. If we come back to Kalispell we would try to stay here again.

The place was breathtaking!!!

The views from the house were stunning!! We would spend every sunrise and sundown just admiring the views. It was also so convenient and close to town, yet far enough out to not feel Crowded!! We saw so many deer every single day!!! We will def go back to the home next time we are in kalispell!

Well, Lady--it makes a hostess feel grateful when guests recognize what we are trying to offer in our Flathead Valley finer home. And yeah, the dang deer have won the battle on flowers vs deer! Cozy House!

We absolutely loved our stay in this house! This house is precious! Very clean, cozy and quiet! Mrs. Sue was extremely helpful and provided extra tips for hiking, etc. during our stay. I’m thoroughly impressed with how responsive she is if there are any questions or needs regarding the house or anything really. The views from the windows were beautiful. We saw a few deer in the front yard and we loved it! We will be back!

Just like advertised! We loved the spacious home with the amazing view. We golfed at 5 different courses and enjoyed the solitude that this home has to offer. Perfect home for us!

Serene Mountain Home in Kalispell

We enjoyed our week at Sunrise House. Loved waking up to the views and the visits from the deer and turkeys! The home’s location was perfect for our day trips to Glacier and the Flathead Valley. Ellen’s love of Montana is evident throughout the home. She and her staff made booking and staying a pleasure. Thank you all!

Our timely timeout

Scheduled our trip last minute due to a Covid cancelled previously scheduled trip. Wanted a place to visit that was hassle free and would allow our family the opportunity to both explore a new area and the chance to get away and relax as well. The property allowed us to do both, as it was located in a peaceful setting outside of town as well as close enough to Kalispell proper.

A Magnificent Home!

The VIEWS! All I did when I was in the house was sit in front of the window and stare, day and night. The home was perfect, in a perfect area and had everything we could have possibly needed for the almost 2 weeks we spent there. Owner, manager and cleaner were readily available any time we needed them, but we really didn't. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely awesome! Do not miss this!

Amazing views, extremely clean, everything you want or need here! Don't look any further! Ellen & Kelly were super friendly and helpful - this is a great location if you're wanting to hang around Glacier, convenient to everything. Only problem was we didn't want to leave the property, just wanted to sit on the deck and soak in the view! We will be back for sure! Thanks, Ellen, for sharing your gorgeous home with us!

Great location in the country

The outside of the property left something to be desired; however, recently painted and new deck added. Grill not working and needed deep cleaned. There were many hand written notices as to operating Wi-Fi, etc that were incorrect so it was an hour of trial and error but found the right code. On a very good note, once established, our stay was super pleasant. Deer daily in the yard and great location to and from towns.

Best Vacation Ever!

My husband and I spent the week of Oct. 8-15, 2016 in this beautiful home. Montana's weather put on a show for us, and we were able to experience fall color and winter snow both during that time. The proximity of Sunrise House to Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, Whitefish, and other great spots allowed us to enjoy our vacation to the fullest. This home is warm and inviting, and the views are drop-dead gorgeous. But who would have thought that the highlight of our trip would be having dinner with the owner, Ellen? If you're lucky, you might get to spend a little time with her, too. We highly recommend Sunrise House. You will not be disappointed!

Oh hey. I am Blessed. You two are just so much in love with each other....anybody would have a great night out with you. That shrimp and grits dish was outstanding, only being upstaged by our stroll amid Whitefish's sweet night scene. Here's to next summer in the mountains!

Most relaxing vacation ever!

I needed a relaxing vacation in a peaceful setting, this was the perfect place. The scenery was fantastic, to wake up every morning looking out at the mountains, meadows, visiting deer was absolutely wonderful. The house has everything you need. Honestly could have stayed at the house everyday, it was our first time to Montana so we wanted to see the sites. We certainly looked forward to coming back to our beautiful home for the week. The owner "Ellen" was wonderful, gave us great recommendations for dinner along with advice on what to see and do in the area. Everyone should take the time to go on the "going to the sun" road in Glacier National Park - it was the most beautiful drive ever. Overall I would highly recommend this house, I don't think it can get any better than this!
