This was by far the most amazing vrbo we’ve ever stayed at—not just in the San Juans! The location, views, property, neighbors and host made this the absolute best family vacation! The close walk to Otis Perkins allowed us to enjoy the beach at anytime and the views from the house were Bob Ross worthy!

This house was perfect for us to spend the weekend on the island. It had a decent view but was tucked back a little bit from the main road so it wasn’t too busy! It was about a 2 minute walk from the beach. Harvey was also very attentive and easy to communicate with! The house was pretty clean also! Plenty of room for a larger group of people.

This was an excellent, spacious retreat in the heart of Lopez. It comfortably allowed us to fit two families of 4 to make wonderful memories with cousins. It was well equipped and comfy. The kids loved nightly visits from the deer and owls in the yard. We enjoyed farm to table breakfasts and lunches after exploring the island farm stands. Went beach combing and whale watching, and the littles even hit the newly opened community pool. Saw lots of sea life at Shark Reef, Spencer Spit, and Watmough Bay. For a small island, there were also some excellent restaurant options available. Thanks for serving as home base for a restorative extended family vacation.

The house was beautifully situated within walking distance to a beach and expansive views of the water. It was an easy 2 mile bike ride to town and our kids (ages 9-14) were riding there everyday. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to feed our large family. The host was available by text with any questions we had and very friendly. The community swimming pool opened up down the road and the tennis courts were also a big draw. We got a lot of our produce from The Horse Drawn Farm on the island which has the best snap peas when they are in season. The only thing that would have made it better would be upgrading the mattresses as they were somewhat lumpy.Our week on Lopez Island was truly magical.

Delightful place to stay for family reunions. The location was perfect for people who like to walk scenic areas. We saw lots of wildlife and natural springs.

Christina and her family were such lovely guests to host! Her timely follow ups only added to Christinas calm easy going and appreciative nature. Her guests kept the home tidy & immaculate following guidelines. I enjoyed hosting them, as they explored Lopez by day then sunsets & wildlife along the waterfront & estuary surrounding VistaBay House. Her family will be warmly welcomed back anytime. Thank you very much for visiting Lopez and VistaBay’s location! I hope the 6 hour early check provided at no charge plus the later afternoon check out, allowed more summer island time with your family. Btw: fridge off cooling was caused by blocked frozen vent fr the working freezer section. Thus the $3500 spent to ferry rush a new Samsung fridge installed the next day, wasn’t needed after all. So VistaBay has 4 working fridges for future back up now. I hope your boat guests loaded & used the complimentary ice I paid for. Safe travels & best wishes to everyone!

Property is in a great spot central to all aspects of the island. It's very clean and well-equipped for various group sizes. Great communication and islander insight provided by the property manager, Harvey. Very responsive too. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay

This is exactly what we were looking for in a getaway home for 5 adults and 5 kids. Plenty of space to spread out and a quick walk down the driveway to the beach. We'll be back!

Amazing home in an excellent location!

This home is the best location for a quiet getaway! This was our second trip to Lopez and this home is roomy and in an excellent location. We spent our days walking along the beach and wine tasting in town. We couldn't ask for a better home away from home. Thanks Harvey!!

Amazing house!

I came here with my family and had a wonderful time. The house is clean, comfortable, and has a gorgeous view. It's just a few minutes drive from the village and a quick walk to the water. Highly recommend.

Family vacation

The house and location was lovely. Harvey was really proactive and informative about the area and things to do prior to our week. The configuration of the house for the adults (ages 50+) upstairs and a separate basement room and large living area was spot on for the college students. We had an awesomely relaxing time.

A perfect Lopez Island stay

Our group of four couples had a completely comfortable and delightful stay at VistaBay house. The views of estuary and ocean from the deck and windows were spectacular, and there was plenty of communal living space, in addition to comfy bedrooms, for folks to 'get away' from the group to read, listen to music, etc. Kitchen well-stocked and easy for group cooking, and the linens and towels are abundant and soft. We felt well-taken care of from beginning to end.

Great home for larger group. Excellent experience.

We had a large group on the island for a wedding - and this house was perfect for our family! It's a lovely home, with a beautiful view and great location. It had all the amenities needed - and then some. Close to the water and not far from town. The manager was very kind and easy to deal with. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I'd highly recommend it.

Very well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Beach access a real plus. Deer in yard lovely. Would have preferred deck and outdoor furniture had been cleaned.

Perfect for family

Eight of us stayed at the house. The location was wonderful. We made great meals (for 10) and slept beautifully. Lots of space to spread out or congregate. Whichever we needed. Harvey is a perfect host. Totally attentive but also a step away if needed. Great place to enjoy a marvelous part of the country.

Very Relaxing

Wow, what a nice house. Very comfortable and inviting. Also, it was nice that everything worked! Excellent hosts and the house keeper was readily available, if needed, but she wasn't. The lower level really separates this house from most rentals. Lots of space to spread out. Great vistas too, and enjoyed all the wild life. Clean and comfy!!

Family Wedding

Family members own a house on Lopez and we've visited for decades, staying with them...but for a BIG family wedding, extra accommodation was needed. Vista Bay was perfect! Lots of room for family dinners; deck, yard, views, comfy furniture, books, games, art, laundry room, the best-supplied rental kitchen I've ever used! The house is close to the village, the beach - everything is close on Lopez! The island is a wonderful place for family vacations, especially if you like bicycling, boating, and beach-combing.

Amazing home and view!

We had a fantastic stay at this home! It is super clean, warm, fully equipped (kitchen, beach towels and toys, extra blankets and pillows, books, movies, etc.) and perfect for large families or smaller family getaways. The location can't be beat - the view is amazing, it's close to town, and there is plenty of beach walking right out the front door. Harvey, the manager, made sure we had everything we needed, including ideas of activities, and called us to check-in shortly after our arrival. My family is planning on renting this home again - and bringing more family members (including young children) to enjoy this gem!

Escape to the Islands

This house was extremely comfortable and Lopez Island was just what we needed to relax. It served as a great home base for exploring or just to sit on the deck and watch the resident eagles fly by. The lagoon in front of the house had some amazing bird life. The owners are extremely organized with all arrangements and everything was exactly as advertised. They even provided a portable crib for our new addition of 4months. We intend to make this an annual event.

Excellent, relaxing home

Fantastic stay on Lopez Island. Home is lovely, beautiful views, close to everything. Short walk to the beach. Tons of birds, including hummingbirds. Bunnies hop around with abandon. We had two families in the house, with a total of 4 children 5 and under, and the house was perfect. Lots of space, toys to play with, beds for all. Kitchen is well stocked. Manager provided a ton of information to make sure our stay was successful. Highly recommend this property
