Birthday Boys Weekend

We live locally in the Bonham area and we were looking for a stay-cay for my son’s 14th birthday party with his buddies - this location fit the occasion perfectly! Owner hung a “Happy Birthday” decor sign for a personal touch & I really appreciated the sentiment. 10 out of 10 recommend! Crappie fishing at the dock and the sunsets were awesome! The boys had an amazing extended wkend and we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. Thanks Bill!

A perfect lakeside getaway

We had the most incredible time at this lake house! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful setting, stunning views, and thoughtful touches throughout the home. The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The host was responsive, kind, and clearly takes great pride in this home—it shows in every detail. We’ve stayed at many vacation rentals, but this one is truly special. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to year after year.Thank you for sharing this slice of paradise with us!

Family Trip

Booked this place for our yearly family getaway from home! Amazing place to stay! The lake is not far from back door, grocery stores right down the street! Our experience here was wonderful! Owners are a text/phone call away for any questions or concerns. Will definitely book here again and recommend family and friends to book here as well!

Family reunion at the lake

Great spot and dock was handy as we had a boat. Pantry was stocked with essentials so it was easy to cook for the crowd! Lots of extra blankets and pillows as we had teens on air mattress.

Great house to stay at when fishing

2 minutes from the ramp. Nice house. Could accommodate 6 to 10 easily. Great view. Great dock. Owner was very responsive and courteous and provided a great experience.

End of Summer Lake Trip

Our stay was perfect! We swam and floated off the dock during the day, and then fished in the evening. Caught plenty of crappie! The beds were large and comfy. The kitchen was roomy for gathering and cooking meals, which we love to do. Neighborhood was quiet and tucked away. Bill was responsive with communication prior to trip. Our stay was short, but we had a blast. Thank you!

THE ULTIMATE LODGING

THE LODGING AND LOCATION IS SECOND TO NONE...THE FISHING FROM THE COVERED DOCK IS FANTASTIC...PLENTY OF ROOM FOR MANY ACTIVITIES...OUR STAY WAS SHORTENED BY MOTHER NATURE...COLD, WINDY, AND RAIN NOT IDEAL FOR A FISHING GETAWAY BUT WE DID CATCH A COUPLE OF 3LB CHANNEL CATS SO NOT A TOTAL LOSS.

Beautiful location

This location has a beautiful view of the lake from the house and private dock with a great view of the sunsets and the activity on the lake. The dock is covered with plenty of space for everyone in our group to fish at the same time. And we caught some fish from the dock. We plan on returning to this property.

Bill & Mary Strong (and Shelby) discovered Lake Bonham many years ago. What an easy drive up 121 from D/FW to arrive at a peaceful, undiscovered 1K acre lake. Our cul-de-sac 'cabin' has all you can want for comfort, size and activities. We believe you and your family will enjoy your vacation experience...the value is unbeatable when considering hotels or resorts. BTW...Choctaw Casino is a short 30 minutes away! New boat ramp next to dock to launch your boat...
