From the park-like grounds to the well-appointed house, this Vrbo is our favorite ever!The hosts are responsive and so very kind. The house has all you would ever need for your stay. The lake is jumping with bass and the wild life greets you where ever you go.If you want a spot for rest, relaxation, and recharging - we would highly recommend.

Lake house holiday

We had a wonderful holiday stay. It was comfortable, peaceful, and beautiful. The Hammer’s were very accomodating and kind. We would definitely book again!

Peace and Quiet, with a Lovely View

The Lake Lodge is just as it’s pictured - comfortable and charming. There is always a nice breeze off the water. We enjoyed the birds and the deer. Jon and Lauren are wonderful hosts!

Just what the doctor ordered

I wanted to find a tranquil place for my sister to heal after her second breast cancer surgery. This was absolutely the perfect spot! Jon was a wonderful host and if a house could hug, this one did!… and the views, spectacular. Thank you Jon for sharing such an amazing place.

Cottage on the Lake

The lake and cottage were just what we were hoping for and were just as pictured. The cottage was well stocked with anything you could need. Jon and Lauren were wonderful hosts and were always available if we needed anything. We spent most of our time out on the dock fishing or just enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Amazing lakefront property and home

We had a wonderful stay. We were in town to celebrate my moms 102 year old birthday and couldn’t have found a better home to enjoy. The grounds were amazing with a mixture of old oak and large assortment of palm trees. Both giving a feel of old Florida. The home was lovely and professionally decorated. The views were amazing and the owners so friendly. We are looking forward to a return visit.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lauren and Jon’s place in Land O’ Lakes. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and completely at ease.My husband and I drove all the way from Bobcaygeon, Canada, and it was truly worth it.The property is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. the house itself is charming and well decorated, with every detail adding warmth and character. It was also exceptionally clean, which made our stay even more comfortable.One of the highlights for us was spending time with Lauren and Jon. They kindly took us on a boat ride, allowed us to enjoy the lake from a whole new perspective.And of course, we can’t forget sweet Maisie! She added so much joy to my heart — such a lovely and friendly dog.Overall, this was more than just a place to stay — it was a beautiful experience that we will always remember. Thank you, Lauren and Jon, for your kindness and for creating such a special place. We hope to return one day!

Outstanding lakefront property

We spent two months enjoying this beautiful lakefront property. It is everything the pictures show and more. Every detail was attended to with kayaks, life jackets, beach towels, air hockey, and firewood all made available for our use. The home was immaculate and the hosts were gracious, attentive, and accommodating. We cannot recommend this property enough.

Amazing

This was the best VRBO we have ever rented. Great location-peaceful-quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked with glasses, dishes, pot and pans and much more. All you need to bring is your clothes. Our grandkids enjoyed fishing from the dock. Jon and Lauren are the best host. They went above and beyond. We will be back.

Simply Amazing

We highly recommend this property. We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful location . The house is stunning and cozy. The property is gorgeous. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the sunsets, fishing, kayaking and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Jon and Lauren were beyond accommodating. They left a gift basket for our pup, a welcome Easter basket for our stay, and often checked in on us during our visit. We cannot say enough amazing things about this property and the hosts. We will definitely be back!

Lakeside Cottage Review

I chose to stay at the lake house because of the 5 star reviews, descriptions of the property and proximity to my family. The moment I walked on to the property, I was greeted by my hosts, the house and the lake. The property is beautiful! I was surrounded by many varieties of palm trees, cypress trees and the serenity of the lake. It is truly stunning with so many options for indoor and outdoor meals, quiet moments painting and kayaking. I awoke every morning rested and restored after a good nights sleep on a comfy bed with quality linens and towels. The hosts, Jon and Lauren, were attentive and responded immediately to my questions and requests. A truly perfect stay! I highly recommend staying at the lake house.

Everything but the boat

We were looking for a home and needed short term rental. We did stay over 30 days in this lovely A frame style lake house. They were so kind to provide us with a dog basket with goodies for our pup. They had everything already thought of including detergent for washer , cleaning supplies for our longer stay, extra toilet paper, and goodie baskets in the kitchen including coffee pods and coffee syrups. They regularly checked on us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The dock was lovely to enjoy and they had extra fishing rods and kayaks and canoes. The landscaping on the property and the plants were all beautiful and well maintained.

A Hidden Gem and a Healing Retreat — Beyond Our Expectations!

We had the privilege of staying at this beautiful property for just over a month, and it truly felt like a sanctuary. The peaceful landscape, stunning lake views, and sense of privacy made it the perfect escape — especially during a challenging time following my spouse’s clinical trial.The home was immaculate, incredibly well-stocked, and filled with thoughtful touches — including a welcome box for us and our pups! Jon and Lauren went above and beyond as hosts, checking in to see if we needed anything, offering a boat ride, and even anticipating needs we hadn’t voiced. A shower chair was already in place — a small but incredibly meaningful gesture that reflected their attention to every detail.Their care, concern, and hospitality made this more than just a stay — it was a truly healing experience. We left feeling grateful, refreshed, and incredibly touched. Jon and Lauren, thank you for everything — we can’t recommend this place enough!

Perfect!

Since I hate to repeat myself, a quick google search came up with 66 synonyms of PERFECT. And they all could be used to describe the Lake Lodge. So here’s my review: House - Beautiful Property - Gorgeous Amenities - Unmatched Owners - Fabulous Thing to do in the area - Superb Fishing - Too good to be true Kitchen supplies - Beyond compare And so on! We stayed at the Lake Lodge for a month to escape a Minnesota winter. The house was comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. Owners, Jon and Lauren, are responsive, considerate and just great people to get to know. The setting is park-like!! Quiet, peaceful and absolutely beautiful! You will not find a better place to stay. We will be back!!

Amazing Lake Getaway

We needed a tranquil place for 2 months for my husband to recover from a stem cell transplant within a 30 minute drive from Moffitt Cancer Center. This was the perfect place. It is on a dead end drive, so no traffic noise. There are neighbors but the closest house has no windows towards the lake house and there is a privacy fence. You can't see the other neighbors homes. The grounds are just spectacular. They are lush with thick grass, intricate flower beds and were so very well maintained during our stay. There is a fire pit with seating, an outside patio dining area, and a dock with a sitting area. Kayaks and life vests are provided in case you want to enjoy a few hours on the water. We were unable to make use of these, but our visiting family did. Our grandson actually went fishing and caught fish. The house itself was very comfortable. The furniture including the master bed was great. I used the washer and dryer frequently on the sanitize setting. The house was easy to keep clean which was important to our situation. We stayed on the ground floor. Some of our family visited and used the upper floor including a game room with a big screen TV for video games. The dining and living room have a wonderful lake view. My husband spent most of his time in the living room watching the lake. Birds and squirrels are abundant. I saw deer hoof prints at the edge of the lake. There are a few boats as well as a car boat. Jon and Lauren were the best hosts!!

Renting this beautiful lake house was exactly what me and my family needed. We relocated here from Hawaii and after our long journey of traveling here this house was a dream! The hosts had everything we could possibly need and they were always so kind and available when we needed them. The property is even more gorgeous in real life. You'll have many wildlife sightings , its such a beautiful place. Stay here, you wont regret it!!
