Shipping Container Cabin

Number 4 in builds for the Box Hop, the Roca Box Hop - pronounced [ROH] + [KUH] means “rock” in Spanish, and we couldn’t think of a more fitting name for this hop; a whimsical home wedged between towering rocks. The aesthetic in this box is eclectic and unique and fun! Like a fairytale, the Roca transports you to a world of its own, where you can cozy up with a book, pull out a board game or simply sit and enjoy the view and sounds of nature all around.

2 bedrooms; 1 queen size beds with lofted twinXL above & 1 king size bed
One full bathroom & One half bathroom
Full kitchen stocked with cookware & serving dishes
Washer and dryer

The Roca was the first Box Hop built on the new 75 acre parcel of land just 5 minutes from the original property. Once you enter the property, you wind into its beauty to find the Roca tucked in a canyon. It is an adventure of its own driving up to the hop and turning in between towering rock cliffs as you arrive. On the property, we have a couple marked trails where you can hike to access a large cave and waterfall just around the bend from The Roca’s outdoor deck.

The suspended outdoor deck houses the hot tub, gas grill and also includes at outdoor shower. This deck is the perfect lookout to see all the canyon has to offer.

It's worth noting that the property is a total of 75 acres, home to 2 waterfalls and a plethora of hiking possibilities right on site.

Pet Policy: we allow up to 2 dogs at this property. Tenant shall remit to Host a pet fee in the amount of One hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) for pet(s) on the Premises, which is due and payable at the same time and by the same method as Tenant’s payment of Rent. We ask that you keep your dogs off of furniture, don't leave them unattended at the house and clean up any waste.

Weekend getaway

Overall, it was a nice space to stay for our weekend glamping trip. A few things to point out that we’re not so great: walking in there was a musty smell, walking up to the home there was a lot of webs near the front door, perhaps a quick clean would’ve made a better impression, the couch had a big dip and the throw blankets I don’t think were washed. The bedrooms were great and comfortable and the bathroom was nice. Good experience for being our first time, but might consider one of the newer or bigger options.

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at The Roca and loved the property! It’s unique, quiet, and we loved the waterfall/rock landscape just behind the place! Only downsides were a hiccup with the shower handle but that was addressed the next morning so it did not impact the majority of our stay. The shower drain, however, did not work well (or was clogged) and water filled up quickly which was a little bit inconvenient since we stayed 4 days. Additionally, whoever handles the cleaning either was in a hurry or could benefit with some improvement as the coffee pot was not cleaned and had remnants of coffee inside and the fridge did not appear to have been wiped down in between the previous guests and us. Not a dealbreaker but makes you question how well other areas were cleaned. Apart from those 2 concerns, everything else was perfect! We would definitely stay with you again!

Great Place!

We really enjoyed the stay and appreciated the Christmas decoration. It is a great destination with nearby hiking trails. The home is very comfortable!

Perfect getaway for couples or small families exploring the Hocking Hills area or just looking for a secluded getaway. The property is lovingly maintained and feels like you have been transported into a fairy tale. The many, excellent hiking trails and natural areas are within half and hour drive. If you don't want to travel while on vacation but still want hiking the property has waterfall and cave features that are honestly similar but smaller versions of their more famous cousins. The hot tub is perfect for soothing sore muscles and unwinding after a long day of hiking. Cozy, cute, well-appointed, and responsive and professional ownership. You and your family will not be disappointed in this property.

The Coolest Box!

This was by far the best rental I have ever had! Unique box hops with views like you have never experienced. Comfortable and very clean. It was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter's wedding at The Seventy-Five Venue. A must stay!!

Beautiful Place, But Dirty

Stayed at the Roca a few weekends ago. Awesome place but dirty! A clump of someone’s hair in the shower wall, dirty shower basin, and someone’s dirty ear plug under my bed! Gross!!

Adorable

I loved everything about the Roca - especially the amazing decorating!! The only thing that was hard for me was not having blinds! I was grateful for the seclusion but having blinds at least in the bedroom would have helped me sleep better. It was a bit creepy.
