The Foundry Guest Apartment is on the first floor of a newly renovated Historic Grange Hall. The Foundry property, in addition to a couple of second floor apartments, is also an Artist's glassblowing and sculpture studio in an adjacent building. Our Guest Apartment is close to the coastal towns of Camden and Rockland.

A dream place to spend as much time as you want at the heart of Maine. Impeccably clean, great equipped kitchen and very quiet but also close to Camden, Rockport and all their great restaurants and sights. We would love to return soon.

The apartment was perfect! Refrigerator was stocked with eggs, muffins, butter, jam, water, half and half and wine plus coffee pods for a keurig! Fresh flowers made it feel like home! This was the 3rd time that we stayed at this property, that should speak for itself.There is nothing that we could suggest that would make our stay here any better.The location for mid coast is fantastic, easy access to Camden and Belfast to the North and to Rockland and points to the South.Richard and Shirley are the most hospitable hosts that we have ever encountered.Renee & Marty

If you are staying in Rockport,the Foundry apartment is the place to stay. The apartment is spacious, bright and airy,clean and nicely decorated with some amazing art and photographs. There is a deck overlooking the back yard that has beautiful flower beds and birds singing; nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine.There is everything you need and more. Richard & Shirley go the extra mile and provide breakfast items, bottled water, wine, snacks and fresh flowers upon arrival along with paper goods, laundry detergent, maps and lots of information on things to see, places to eat and recommendations.They are friendly and helpful and we enjoyed staying in their guest apartment and the town of Rockport. If we return to the area, we would stay again!

The property was lovely, charming, and exceptionally clean. We really appreciated how well maintained everything was, and the owners were responsive when we brought a concern to their attention.The one significant drawback for us was the noise from the upstairs apartment. Heavy footsteps, running, and stomping carried very clearly into our rental, beginning around 6:30 in the morning and continuing at times into the evening. The owner acknowledged our concern and said he had spoken with the upstairs occupants about it. We understand that some everyday noise is to be expected when staying in a property with separate living spaces, but the level of noise made it difficult for us to enjoy the peaceful, relaxing stay we had anticipated.We ultimately decided to leave one evening earlier than planned. We don't share this to be unkind to the owners, as the property itself really is lovely, but we feel it's something prospective guests should know when deciding whether this rental is right for them.

Our little family above you, with an 11 month and 9 year old were in an excited state. The little guy received a rolling walker and the early rise gave way to activity and awe. We understand how the footsteps affected your peace and are very sorry for your disappointment. We made them aware after you brought it to our attention, so they could lighten their footsteps.

Everything was sparkling clean, full beautiful kitchen with supplies. We were planning on going on for breakfast but decided to cook instead, saving lots of time. Lots of fun things to do in the surrounding towns, we fell in love with the area.

Richard and Shirley are so nice and such wonderful hosts. Their apartment is very comfortable and very tastefully appointed. The location is perfect for regional explorations. Highly highly, recommend.

Richard was a wonderful host. He made sure I got checked in and had everything I needed and was most helpful! The apt was beautifully decorated with all the amenities I could need while there. I would love to stay there again when I return!

Amazing stay

I travelled with my 7 year old son and had the most pleasant experience in Rockport ME. The host is amazing, the place is nice and clean and cozy and has everything we needed and more. We will most certainly be back next year!

We loved our stay at the Foundry. It was 100 percent sparkling clean , had great amenities, and was just the perfect spot to enjoy and day trip from. The host was really helpful and friendly. We would definitely come back !

Lovely spot with convenient location to drive to Camden and Rockport and area, including grocery store 5-10 mins away. Gracious welcome and support from hosts. I had space and amenities to cook and enjoy the sunshine on the porch. Thank you!

Perfect place to stay while exploring the Mid-Coast

This was, by far, one of the best VRBO’s we have rented. Spotless and exquisitely designed for comfort and efficiency. Richard and Shirley were wonderful hosts. Peaceful setting just short scenic drives to Rockland and Camden. The Foundry Apartment was a lucky find.

Lovely in all regards

The Foundry Guest Apartment was all around wonderful - extremely clean and well-appointed with not only everything needed for a comfortable stay, but also lovely touches like beautiful pictures of Maine on the walls and cozy throw blankets at the ready. Richard and Shirley were outstanding hosts - friendly, welcoming, and willing and able to make great recommendations about the area.
