This property is a gem! The property is beautiful—fun to explore the trails and enjoy the outdoors. The house worked perfectly for our family Christmas. Heidi was a fabulous host and attentive to small details to make our stay perfect and memorable. We highly recommend!

Family compound

Great quiet out of the noise home. Wonderful furnishings and great layout. Wonderful time for a family time.

Great time with old friends in a great space. Couldn't hear anything but the cicadas, lowing cows and the sound of the waterfall from the koi pond. Would definitely be back!

Fabulous Girls Weekend Get Away

What a beautiful home and property. Perfect for our girls weekend. Pet friendly and well stocked with everything you need for a perfect long weekend. Private and expansive property with trails, Firepit for roasting marshmallows and lots of room to roam. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Lots of fun activities close by. We went on a wonderful winery tour with Miami County Winery Tours.

Amazing Mom/Daughter Retreat Stay!

We brought 12 moms and young daughters out to Blackbarn at Stone Creek and stayed in the lovely farmhouse for a 2-night stay. We all loved the accommodations and how many bedrooms there were, how clean the house was, how "homey" it was and the property was just beautiful! Communication with Heidi was super easy and she was very accommodating and helping and was very quick at returning my messages. We hope to be back!

The property is amazing. The host thinks of everything anyo e would need to make they stay perfect. Well stocked with everything. Big beautiful rooms and a patio that is so peaceful and quite. A great place to get away and unplug. I

We had a get together with 6 couples from high school and this property fit us all comfortably. We were able to make large meals and eat together in the dining room. One night we all sat around the fire pit and enjoyed the quiet country life and view of the stars. The house was very clean and welcoming. Heidi communicated very well and offered plenty of ideas of things to do nearby. I would go back for another reunion.

We had a wonder family Christmas together. Plenty of space for 3 family and a dog. The house was decorated beautifully for our gathering. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities for the children (ages 7-14). Great family memories were made. Only thing I would change and bring sure the queen beds were in separate rooms to better accommodate our adults. I didn’t think to clarify that. We absolutely loved this precious time together with our daughters, their husbands and the grandkids!!

Family Reunion/Memorial Service

Property was absolutely perfect. Top -notch accommodations in a rural setting and just what we needed for 12 adults and 3 toddlers in this area. Property manager is amazing and goes 110% satisfaction. We are from out of state but familiar with this area and can without a doubt say that this should be a top choice for anyone doing a family retreat, girls/guys retreat,etc. We only had the house but their barn venue also looked amazing and no doubt would be a winning choice for weddings or other large gathering needs. P.S. the stars in the night sky were amazing!

The perfect spot

This 40 acre retreat was the perfect location for our surprise 60th wedding anniversary weekend. Our family of 14 1/2 fit comfortably in the house with lots of area and activities outdoors. The host and her assistant were the best. It felt as if we were truly guests in their home. They covered every detail of our family’s weekend needs. We added on the black barn to our reservation. It was a great place for our family pictures and family celebration and private dinner. I’ve rented and stayed in many VRBO properties throughout the years and by far this is the best experience I’ve ever had!

Amazing family reunion

We loved our time at Black Barn at Stone Creek. Our extended family of 10 gathered for thanksgiving and had 4 kids 6 and under. Heidi went above and beyond to have kids amenities, toys, and sleeping arrangements at the ready. The home is beautifully furnished and the spaces are cozy. Heidi is extremely responsive and goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. We explored the expansive trails with the kids and spent time in nature. We gathered around the fireplace and roasted s’mores. Great memories were made! We would love to come back and stay again!

Annual Guys Weekend - Firepits/BBQ/Golf

Property was wonderful for a couple nights with some close buddies for our annual guys weekend….we always look for a property that is secluded (for late, loud nights around a firepit), but some near restaurants and golf. There was plenty of space and accommodations for our group of 6 men. Several great firepit areas on the property - we took full advantage of the one directly behind the house, which still felt secluded, but with quick access to the lower level bar area - for frequent drink refills and a quick cool off in AC. Kitchen was well stocked and very organized. Heidi was a great host…she was very responsive and shared many suggestions. I recommend We-B-Smokin bbq nearby.

Amazing Stay

What an awesome country home for a relaxing family gathering to reconnect with one another. Eight adults and 11 grandchildren made for an entertaining and active weekend. The 40 acres of trails, outdoor lawn games, fire pit with makings for smores, indoor table games and wonderful sleeping accommodations met all of our expectations and more! Heidi was amazing and communicated with us through our stay. She went out of her way to help set up the sleeping arrangements that included an inflatable queen mattress, port a crib, and two roll a way cots. We had a few questions and Heidi responded in a timely and helpful way. This is a great property for families and larger gatherings.Highly recommended.
