Hi Lauren, I am really sorry to hear that you didn't have a 5 star experience. The house has been booked every week since we finished most of the renovations and we haven't had a chance to complete some finishing touches. While it's been acceptable for our other guests, it appears we failed to meet your expectations. We are completing the finishing touches this November to prepare it for the peak season, and we appreciate your feedback so we know what we need to do to meet future guest expectations.

Hi Joel, Thank you for your feedback. While this review feels retaliatory and includes several inaccuracies, we take all guest concerns seriously and view them as opportunities to improve. We had never experienced a heat wave like this before at the property. Vermont is typically cool, which is why our central cooling system is focused upstairs. Still, we did our best to respond to your concerns during your stay by providing fans, attempting to schedule technicians (who unfortunately were delayed due to their workload), and offering a partial refund. As mentioned, my family and I personally traveled to the property to assess and address the issues. As of July 2025, we’ve added portable A/C units in addition to the fans and had the baseboard heating system repaired, along with other upgrades and improvements. The camera footage showing on the TV was an unintentional technical error, and we apologize for that. We never share or display property footage to guests, and this has now been corrected. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. Regarding the pond, it is located behind the house and should not have interfered with your stay, as it’s in a separate and non-accessed area. We’re genuinely sorry that your experience didn’t reflect the care and effort we put into maintaining the home. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again and provide the much-improved experience you expected.

We truly appreciate your honest review. As of July 2025, my family and I traveled to the house personally to address the issues you outlined. Every review means a lot to us and gives us a chance to improve and better serve our guests. Due to Vermont's cold climate and because we had never encountered this situation before, we took several steps to make things right. We purchased four additional fans to supplement the one already provided, brought in a portable AC unit, and called technicians to resolve the baseboard heating issue. We also fixed the windows and addressed a few other concerns that weren’t mentioned in your review. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future and provide you with a much better experience.
