Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing due to several issues with the property and lack of communication from the host. About a month before arrival, we asked questions about available kitchen supplies but never received a response.Upon arrival, we found used bar soaps and leftover bath products in the bathrooms, raising concerns about cleanliness. We were glad we brought our own products. Soap dispensers and more thorough cleaning between guests would be a great improvement. There were not enough clean towels, washcloths, or linens. The downstairs bathroom had no washcloths, and none were available in the kitchen. The beds were uncomfortable, and additional bedding was needed. The kitchen lacked sufficient cookware, utensils, and plates for our party of six, despite the listing accommodating up to 10 guests. Basic supplies should be stocked accordingly. There was leftover food. Trash was full. The house showed significant wear, including scratched and squeaky doors, broken fireplace tile, and crumbling drywall around the upstairs stair railing, which should be repaired for safety and appearance. The property is directly behind a main road, and traffic noise made it difficult to get a full night's rest. Double-pane windows could help reduce noise and improve comfort. Overall, the property has potential but needs better communication, improved cleanliness, adequate supplies, general maintenance, and noise reduction to provide a more comfortable experience for future guests.
