We had a wonderful stay while celebrating my husband’s and cousin’s birthdays over the July 4th weekend. The home is beautiful, spacious, and located in a great neighborhood for a staycation. We loved the open kitchen, roomy bedrooms, game room, pool, and being able to watch fireworks while swimming. The host was also very responsive when one of the guest toilets had an issue and quickly sent someone to address it.For the price of the stay, however, a few details could have made the experience feel more polished. A welcome packet explaining the home, available amenities, remotes, surround-sound system, pool controls, and additional jacuzzi-heating fee would have been very helpful. We did not know how to operate several features, some remotes were not charged, and one remote affected a television in another room.Although the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware, dishes, soap, paper towels, and trash bags, the dishes and towels felt mismatched and worn. Some bedding and décor also appeared less organized than expected. The pool patio, grill area, and firepit needed more cleaning, and we had to tidy the area before enjoying it. We were also disappointed that we could not use the pool lights.Overall, we truly enjoyed the home and its location. With better instructions, updated linens and kitchenware, and a cleaner outdoor area, it could be an exceptional stay. I would recommend it for a July 4th or New Year’s staycation.
