Stayawhile

Our cozy waterfront cabin located on Wilson Lake in North Alabama is nestled back in the trees just steps away from the private pier. The cabin offers a large elevated porch and deck with rocking chairs and outdoor ceiling fans for those warm spring and summer nights.

Newly renovated in the fall of 2020, Stayawhile Cabin offers a nicely furnished open concept living room and kitchen for lazy days, watching football and taking in the views while catching up with family and friends.

The space:
“Stayawhile" cabin offers over 1400 sq ft including large uniquely decorated and cozy great room with 75" high-definition TV with surround sound. The great room opens up to a well appointed eat-in kitchen with all new appliances including an induction cooktop, top of the line Le Creuset cookware, a Keurig, and all matching tableware and glassware. The main bedroom boasts a wrought iron king size bed with pillow top mattress and adjoining full bath.

The two upstairs bedrooms offer one king size bed with pillow top mattress and the other bedroom has two pillow top twin beds. The upstairs bath offers easy access from both bedrooms. All beds in the cabin are fitted with 400 thread count sheets and comfy Eddie Bauer quilting. As you step out the back door onto the spacious back porch and expansive deck you will be welcomed by relaxing rocking chairs, a chaise lounge and outdoor sofa that will have you envisioning special moments with family and friends while you take in stunning views of the lake and some magnificent sunsets.

So come stay awhile with us at "Stayawhile" cabin and give way to the peace and quiet that our little cabin has to offer.

*15 minutes from the renowned Trent Jones Golf Trail at the Shoals
*25 minutes from the legendary FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studios (both offer tours)
*30 minutes from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia, AL
*30 minutes from the birth place of Helen Keller (tours available) also in Tuscumbia, AL
*30 minutes from Florence, where the annual WC Handy Music Festival takes place (July 23-29, 2023)

Perfect getaway

We stayed here to go a conference an hour away in Huntsville and it was great… nicely decorated and great view of the lake… the weather was rough while we were there so we can say from experience that the tornado sirens work lol everything turned out fine and owner checked on us constantly.

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful time at DoubleHead. We have stayed here multiple times in different cabins, but this is BY FAR the nicest one. That back porch is absolutely amazing. Go ahead and book it. You won't regret it.

Wedding weekend Retreat

We decided to rent a cabin on the lake for our sons wedding weekend and we were beyond pleased with the accommodations and all the communications with the owners. This cabin has all the cozy feels for all your indoor and outdoors needs. Our only complaint is that we wish we could of stayed A LOT LONGER.

Amazing vacation !!!!

Oh my gosh. This was the best VRBO stay we’ve had. The house was absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed. I loved sitting out on the deck with coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. I can’t wait to come back for another visit soon !!!!

Wonderful Stayawhile

3 wonderful nights at this tranquil spot on Lake Nelson. Recently refurbished so everything in great condition and tastefully done. We all loved it ! Angie couldn’t have been more helpful. Loved Florence and the countryside and towns around it. Great trip.

Do Stay Awhile

Fabulous. This vacation rental is worth a stay even if you have no plans to do anything but hang out, rock on the porch, sit by the lake, and relax. The three of us had plenty of room and privacy. The owner has thought of everything you might need. Highly recommend.

Beautiful View!

This place was fantastic! Comfortably remodeled and amazing views. All the things we needed. Definitely 5⭐️. Will recommend!! Would like to suggest an instruction guide for the direct TV remote, and Netflix access in the main room would be great for group/family movie night.

Evening Sunsets

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Doublehead Resort. The cabin has been completely renovated and was extremely clean. The owners had beautifully decorated the cabin for Christmas which made it feel like home. We made great use of the pellet heater on the outdoor patio as we enjoyed sunsets over the water. We would definitely go back. Thank you Angie for being such a wonderful host!

Perfect stay for an RTJ golf weekend

This cabin exceeded our expectations. It was extremely clean. It was well stocked with top of the line essentials and more. The owners have thought of everything that could make a stay at the lake comfortable. You could sit in the cabin all day and look at all of the unique and beautiful decorations that Angie has put throughout. The back porch and dock provide the perfect spot to take in the beauty of the scenery to start the day with cup of coffee or end the day with a sunset and a glass of wine. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this special place.

RTJ golf group

Everything was just as stated and shown online. Awesome location on the lake; house very clean and well decorated. We’ve stayed in several VRBO units as we toured the entire RTJ golf trail in April 2023. This was our best experience by far! The host was very responsive and gave us all the pertinent information we needed.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We were visiting for my niece’s wedding. What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some family time. The cabin is beautiful, well stocked with everything you could possibly need and the deck is so inviting. We loved sitting outside in the morning with out coffee and then watching the kids play in the evening. Angie and Layton are excellent hosts. They are kind, accommodating and very responsive. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us!

Peaceful Relaxing Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect getaway for my family. My teen grands and family friends joined me for a weekend at this cozy cabin. Our experience was just the best - from the beginning to the end. The Host was easy to communicate with - everything was as described in listing. The cabin decor was amazing - everything was top of the line. The deck was our favorite place to gather - early mornings watching the geese with their baby goslings ........nights spent watching the lights on the water and the moon rising. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool. Location was great - convenient to all the area attractions. We attended the Helen Keller outdoor play, visited the Railroad Bridge, and ended our day with ice cream and pizza in downtown Tuscumbia. I highly recommend the "Stay A While" Cabin.

Perfect Long Weekend

Such a relaxing getaway! I loved the outdoor deck to be able to sit and drink coffee in the morning and take in the view as well as see amazing sunsets from the dock in the afternoon. We were able to take advantage of the nature walk and the tennis courts. We kayaked right off the back yard. Quality time with the kids. The owner was very helpful with recommendations and the property was very clean and well decorated. We will definitely be back.

The Best Stay-Cation

The cabin was perfect! The view was amazing. It was so peaceful and calm. We enjoyed the pool, like little kids, even though we were all over 18! It made the best of days for our family! The details mattered!

Great family time!

We loved this cabin. The decorations are so cute. Kitchen well stocked, and everything updated and clean. We slept great!! Loved sitting out on porch in rocking chairs and viewing the area. Owners have done a great job with putting it all together to make you comfortable.

This place was amazing. My husband and I fell in love with it and would love to own something like this. Everything about the stay was outstanding! Sad to leave. We went with friends to play RTJ golf courses. Perfect location for that. Perfect!

Fun with Family

Everything was clean and in order..We had relatives in cabins nearby and enjoyed visiting with them..Really enjoyed sitting on the deck and the peaceful view..Hoping to be able to come back in the near future!!
