Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Marion is perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. This home is newly remodeled and located just a few minutes away from downtown Marion! A perfect location for a weekend getaway or long term stay. The spacious layout features a nice comfortable living room with lots of natural light. Kitchen is equipped with all essentials and furnished with guests needs in mind. Enjoy your meals together around the kitchen island. Main bedroom offers a king size bed, dresser and a wardrobe. Additional bedrooms both have full sized beds.

Explore the charming, small mountain town of Marion where you can find many restaurants, local shops, historical interests, breweries and taprooms.

The area offers hiking and mountain biking trails. Chase waterfalls, float the Catawba River, or visit Lake James! Visit Spillway Bridge & Co for live music and cocktails, and Crabby Abby’s Bar and Grill for dinner. This home is a perfect spot for anyone looking to check out Marion or the surrounding areas. Black Mountain is a short 25 min away and offers even more shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Asheville is 40 minutes away and is best known for its hipster culture, vibrant art scene, amazing craft breweries, and plenty of beautiful parks and outdoor activities.

Great communication from host. Well thought out decor and design. Very comfortable spaces to hang out with your group inside and outside. Convenient to Marion and activities at Lake James.

This was a great little place to stay while visiting several areas of the NC mountains. We visited Marion, Asheville, Lake James, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Linville Caverns and several other places while there. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed the lunar eclipse from the fire pit area on Thursday night. I will definitely keep this on my favorites list for anytime I need to visit this area again.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. The cabin was super clean and nicely decorated. The host was super responsive and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is great.

This house is adorable! My family had an amazing time and the kids loved all the games available. It was so nice to have something to keep them entertained and not to mention it was just beautiful there! Not to mention our host was fantastic and responded to any questions we had :) I would definitely stay here again!

Loved this house!

We had an excellent stay at Cecilia's! Home had everything we needed! From the comfortable bed, pool table, and super cute covered outside patio. Absolutely loved the outdoor seating area with the firepit! Would definitely recommend staying here for checking out Marion, Old Fort, Morganton and the surrounding areas!

Our stay!

Our son’s baseball tournament brought us to Marion and we couldn’t be happier with our time at the cozy cottage. From the pool table, to the darts, to the snack basket my kids were so happy. I appreciated decor, extra space and attention to detail. Definitely recommend!

The house is updated and very cozy. Had everything we needed for our stay. Appreciated the basket full of snacks. The host was very accessible and was able to answer all my questions before our stay. Check-in was very simple. Hope we get a chance to stay here again in the future.

Amazing Farmhouse

This the second time staying at Tristan’s house. Cecilia ensured that the house was perfect and makes the check in and out process easy. My wife was amazed by the decor which makes this home very inviting and cozy. This will be our go to home for sure whenever we are visiting the Marion area. Thank you Cecilia for the amazing stay!

I am a native of McDowell County. I have lived here my entire life! I love this small town and all the wonderful people who live here. My husband, Richard, and I have been together for 30 years and we had one son, Tristan. I love being on the lake, traveling, reading, and being with my friends.

This home is my labor of love for my son. He did not survive a horrible car accident and we lost him. This was the home that I helped design and create for him. We wanted to share his home with others to honor him. We hope you find as much peace as we do while you are there. He was a shining light and his light shines on in this home.

The covered porches, firepit, and exterior spaces are all very inviting. The inside is unique and warm and cozy. This home exudes comfort.
