We had a terrific stay at The Mighty Pine! Marty was a great host - communicative & helpful. The cabin is lovely, with absolutely everything you might need, and otherwise super comfortable & cozy. It was easy to find, as well, which is great, and well-placed for a lot of local attractions. We'll definitely return, perhaps with our dog next time.

What a great retreat to decompress and unwind.The Marty and Teri were great hosts in communication and the cabin was fantastic. Organized kitchen and bathroom, stocked with everything we needed. Super comfy couch and bed and great privacy.Definitely would come again.

It appears this was a third-party rental, I should have known from the get-go this was going to be difficult when the guest messaged me upon arrival that they didn’t have the entry code and all check in information was sent two days prior with the entry code in the second sentence. The laundry is not advertised as being in the unit but in the utility building 30 feet away. It’s unfortunate guests like this make hosts question if they should remain as a short-term rental.

Lovely stay

We had a great stay - cycling, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. Very clean property, very nice, and a hot sauna! Loved it.

Lovely and lovely

Everything about this place is meticulously, clean, organized, and decorated so well. Beautiful location and close to town loved looking at the pond and taking a sauna! Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent weekend getaway from Chicago

My wife and I had a great time staying at the cabin. The space is exactly as advertised - clean, tidy, with many small details that make it a pleasant experience. Sauna was a huge benefit. Easy 25 minute drive to Taliesin if you plan on visiting. Marty’s great communication made check in/out a breeze.

We were so impressed by the thoughtful design of the space. The intentional simplicity allowed our minds to be free of busy clutter, while still keeping a sense of warm welcome and home-like feel. The cabin was clean, storage directions were clear, and the amenities were just what we needed for a relaxing weekend away from the city. Loved using the sauna on chilly nights.Also, we appreciated noticing how the design made the cabin more accessible for wheelchairs! There is a zero depth shower entry with handlebars, plus the cabin is all one level with passable doorways and thresholds.Thank you so much! Would recommend, and stay again!
