We really enjoyed our stay here, it was so cozy and comfy for my friend and me and my 2 dogs. The cottage is so sweet but outfitted with everything you can imagine to make it feel like home away from home. I especially enjoyed cooking on the griddle on the gas stove, and the fenced outdoor spaces - especially the adorable front porch - which makes it so easy to relax outside with dogs. There’s a small beach just a 7 minute walk away that was really nice to walk to for sunrises and sunsets and a great little park, Pine Gully Park, with really nice walking trails just ten minutes away if you drive. It was a perfect, relaxing weekend getaway for us!

We had a wonderful stay! Such a cute cottage with everything we needed and close to everywhere we wanted to go. Loved seeing the deer in the yard and across the yard.Clean, and comfortable. We had a perfect stay and hope to come back! Wonderful and helpful host, great communication.

Nice stay for families

Very close to attractions and beach. Great place for small families- tons of activities, games and toys at property kept kid amused at all times. Very communicative and easy to work with host!

Comfy, adorable cottage with all amenities in older,quiet neighborhood. No shops nearby , but within 2 blocks of bay. Host Shirley was available and responsive. Recommended.

Very quiet and cozy

We got what we hoped for, we wanted a quiet and comfy get away from everything. Highly recommend if youre looking for that.Host made it very simple and easy to reach out for any comments or concerns about our stay.

Everything about this cottage was perfect, wish it was mine! The location was great for everything we were doing, especially the walk to the beach and close enough to bigger beaches. I definitely want to make it a tradition. The fenced in porch was perfect for having our little dog and of course the fenced in backyard for him.We took many pictures of the cute decor . We loved seeing the deer in the yard. I even got some ideas for what I'm going to do with my kitchen. We loved this so much, what a wonderful stay. The cottage itself was just as much a part of our vacation as the Strawberry festival, concerts and beaches! Thank you for sharing this cottage!

Cute cottage!

Nice little cottage near Seabrook/Kemah. Clean & well stocked! Fun decor too. Owner was easy to reach, check in was easy with an access code. Owner even gave us a restaurant recommendation for dinner. Good experience, would stay again.

wonderful and cozy

We loved this little and cozy cottage, walking distance from the beach, enjoyed the back patio with the fire pit and the front for coffe in the morning. we saw some baby deers and wild cat was a plus and amazing. The master bed was surprisingly comfortable!! We really loved it definitely recommended and planning coming back .

Adorable Cottage in a quiet deer-filled neighborhood

We had a delightful stay in this charming cottage. The amenities were everything we needed and more. The neighborhood was quiet and serene with deer just strolling around. The beach is a bit of a walk for this old lady, but I managed! The location to local area sites to see was very convenient and The owner was very responsive to our reservation requests and you can truly tell she takes pride in her home. Highly recommend for a nice, relaxing stay!

So cute

The property is exactly as shown online. It's a little out of the way but the beach is a 2 minute drive or 10 minutes walk. There are deer and peacefulness. The property has all you need and a few good places to eat nearby. Including Kemah.

Quaint

The mermaid inn is a quaint little cottage and decorated cute as a bugs ear. We really didn’t spend much time in the cottage as we were in the area for a friend’s birthday but it was just perfect for our needs. Only one issue with shower and the host would have looked at it if notified sooner but like I said we really weren’t there that much.

We love The Mermaid Inn!This was our 3rd year in row to stay here. A sweet cottage with everything you need! It’s the best place to sit on the porch swing and watch the deer! It’s an easy 4 block walk to the beach. We will be back for year 4
