Maribeth, We want to clarify a few points for future guests reading this review. Our listing is clearly noted as not pet-friendly. During your stay, your friend, who was staying separately at a pet-friendly hotel, brought the dog to the property on a daily basis. On one occasion, the dog got out unleashed through the front door and ran at a neighbor's dog, which prompted a call from neighbors to security. After this was reported, we reached out directly to let you know pets were not permitted at the home at all — not overnight, and not for daytime visits either. Shortly after that conversation, the dog was brought back to the property again, which is what led to the end of the reservation. We'd also note that the majority of homes on this street are rentals, and the neighbors are generally friendly and accustomed to guests. This particular issue was specific to the unleashed dog and the pet policy, not a broader neighborhood sentiment against short-term rentals. We understand this wasn't the outcome you wanted, and we're sorry the trip was disrupted. That said, pet policies exist to protect the property and maintain good relationships with neighbors, and we did communicate the policy clearly.
