Just 1 mile from Bryce Resort and Lake Laura, it's the perfect home base for exploring, reconnecting, or simply unwinding.

Step inside and discover a cozy, light-filled retreat where a wall of windows brings the outdoors in. Whether you're enjoying morning coffee among the treetops, gathering for family game night, or relaxing around the outdoor gas firepit where you can enjoy mountain views and natures sounds, the Red Round Treehouse was designed for making memories..

Two comfortable main-level bedrooms feature queen beds, Smart TVs and thoughtful extras. An adventurous sleeping loft offers two additional twin beds, is accessed by a steep ladder. Please note that the loft is best suited for guests comfortable climbing a ladder.

The home also features a full bathroom with tub and a convenient half bathroom in the main bedroom. Bathrooms include all you will need; bath towels, shampoo, shower gel, and hair dryers.

Our well-equipped kitchen makes preparing meals easy, while the coffee bar includes Keurig and traditional coffee makers, assorted coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

You'll also find games, books, cozy throws, family-friendly essentials and plenty of thoughtful touches throughout.

Please note the hosts' severe allergies that brings on asthma attacks prevents pet accommodations. Guest making reservation needs to be at least 24 yrs old and staying at the house. Please be sure to read the online manual for house rules before booking. Fireplace is for decorative purposes only.

This mountain setting calls for a 4 wheel drive vehicle for inclement or winter weather as refunds are not provided due to weather. Travel insurance is also recommended, especially when visiting during winter months to protect your trip. You will be driving on two lane, winding mountain roads to get into Basye and Raccoon Rd.

Our stay was great! Karen was a great host and the house was immaculate, had everything we needed and super cozy. Her guest book had all the things to do in the area and very helpful. I look forward to coming back soon!!

Hiking and golf

We enjoyed the home. Nearby, especially M-W there were not many dining options so it was good to have the kitchen. We had an extra cutting board which helped but we were preparing complicated meals and generally had what we needed.

Karen and Jim have lived in the NOVA area all their life. Jim went to Virginia Tech and Karen went to James Madison University. Jim is a retired Computer Programmer/Analyst/Technical Writer. Karen teaches Jazzercise and has a Virginia Real Estate license.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

Karen spent her childhood and adult years locally at Orkney Springs & Shrine Mount for family vacations, high school marching band camp, JMU photography class, Youth Group ski trips at Bryce Resort, and annual church retreats with her mother and daughter.
Karen and Jim are excited to now own a property in the area, surrounded by the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and all the great outdoor activities that are available! We spent 6 months renovating this house. You can see our labor of love, along with some before and after pictures on our Instagram page @redroundtreehouse.

The setting is quiet and peaceful, surrounded by woods. You will love the soaring pine ceiling and the handcrafted living room wall feature. The bank of windows creates an open living space, bringing in lots of natural light and the beauty of the outside in.
Comfortable outdoor seating is enhanced at dusk with solar powered LED lights that wrap around the deck. You have the option to brighten things up with string party lights!
