The Boho Garden Bungalow is a quaint, quiet, and quirky older home. It’s loaded with charm inside and out. With hardwood floors, exposed brick chimney and iron wood-burning stove (non-functioning but with LED candles for your enjoyment), laid-back Bohemian decor, it’s sure to become your favorite Bloomington getaway. The gardens are idyllic, with meandering pathways, a solar-powered fountain, a pergola with table and chairs, and an antique peacock swing (currently being refurbished)—all with plenty of shade and solitude. At the edge of the garden is a shed that is an outdoor bar with a Boho flair.

There is a full kitchen with fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker, complete with a re-usable K-cup so you can use your own ground coffee or enjoy a local roast provided with the well-stocked coffee, tea, and snack bar. Note all appliances are clean and functional but not new. The freezer has an ice maker.

Living room has seating for six. Features a 40" Samsung smart TV with Roku so you can stream your favorite premium channels on your own subscription accounts.

Bedroom 1 boasts a rich navy color on the walls and a super-comfy queen bed with high-end linens and a gorgeous white peacock scrolled-wicker headboard. There is a chest of drawers if you need space to unpack and a walk-in closet with hangers, blanket and pillows, and a pack-n-play, high chair, and baby bath. There is also a twin size folding mattress in the walk in closet with bed linens.

Bedroom 2 is decorated with bright colors, small, and cozy with a full size bed. Space is maximized with floating nightstands and dimmable wall lighting. There is an alcove by the closet with a wall-mounted desk and chair (folding, in closet, or you may use a dining chair) in case you need a space to work. There is a small closet with chest of drawers, hangers, blanket, and pillows.

Inspired by the peacock headboard in the master bedroom and the vintage peacock swing, the house and gardens boast peacocks and feathers galore. They are all out in the open; none are hidden so no need to look in nooks and crannies. See if you can spot all 26 of them! A fun scavenger hunt for the whole family.

**With cold and flu season upon us, enjoy added peace of mind with enhanced cleaning protocols** All In Bloom Rentals staff are trained to ensure a "spotless and sparkling" stay, but now they are also required to complete additional sanitizing steps, including a Lysol-brand fragrance- and dye-free sanitizer designed specifically for bed and bath linens. Stay well!

The entire home, patio, gardens, bar shed, and private driveway (parking for 2 cars) are available for your use. Please refrain from parking in the alleyway behind the house.

You may use the washer and dryer, but be aware that there may already be laundry in them, because I use them to wash linens between guests. If there is laundry in the dryer, please place it on the shelf above the dryer.

Please feel free to contact me if anything arises that requires my attention. It is my sincere hope that you will experience a perfectly comfortable, uneventful stay, but I'm only a text or short drive away if there's any issue that does not meet your expectations. Note that I do not generally check messages 11pm-8am.

I live on Bloomington's east side about 10 minutes away. I do stop by briefly Sundays thru Wednesdays to manage the trash and recycling. If you prefer privacy, just message me and put the bins at the curb on Fairview, 4 feet apart on Monday night. Pick up is Tuesday. After pick up, return them to east side off the alleyway between the 2 back doors. I also do yard work, shovel snow, and perform other maintenance as needed and will notify you through the app when I will be on site.

The neighborhood is in the Prospect Hill Historic District on Bloomington's near west side, easy walking distance to downtown and a few minutes drive to IU. Homes in this tightly-gridded but charming neighborhood are a mix of single-family homes and rentals, and many have recently or are currently undergoing restoration. The home is just blocks from the Square, Bloomington Transit Center, The WonderLab, The B-Line Trail, Building Trades Park, Switchyard Park, new and established eateries and breweries, historic Rose Hill Cemetery, and more. Note that the Bungalow is close to neighbors on 2 sides. The mature trees and shrubs give plenty of privacy on one side, and the other side is technically an alley on the back side of the house.

The Bungalow is blocks from downtown Bloomington, minutes from IU, very walkable, and yet tucked away in a quiet garden for a bit of peaceful solitude. What's not to love?
