Thanks for the review. For accuracy for future winter guests: Snow/road conditions: During this stay there was constant snowfall and subzero temperatures. Despite that, we kept the roads and driveway plowed and sanded, though icy conditions can still occur during active storms and freeze events. Winter access disclosure: Winter access expectations are disclosed in the listing, and we also sent pre-arrival guidance based on the forecast. Vehicle/tires: We specifically advised using winter/all-weather tires or chains (as needed). “Trail/off-road” tires are not the same as winter-rated tires and can underperform on ice. Wood-fired hot tub: The hot tub is wood-burning and holds ~650 gallons. Even in warmer months, our materials note it can take 4 hours to heat—so in subzero temperatures, it’s reasonable to expect significantly longer. During this stay, frustration was raised after roughly two hours of heating. Heat-up expectations and steps are clearly stated in the guidebook sent upon booking, which is why we encourage guests to review it before arrival. Outdoor amenities: We have two fire pit options. In heavy snow and extreme cold, it isn’t realistic to expect the backyard wood-burning fire pit and seating to be fully cleared/ready at all times. However, the deck furniture and deck fire pit are covered with appropriate covers/tarps and can be uncovered and used when conditions allow. Cleanliness: We were in consistent communication during the stay and did not receive any report of dirty dishes on arrival. If anything is ever missed, messaging us right away allows us to correct it immediately.
