This was just a wonderful home! So much history and beauty. Our hosts were also very available and communicative. Thank you for the snack basket. We absolutely loved it here and will be back, to be sure!

It was everything it was advertised to be. Our family enjoyed every bit of the week we stayed there. We will definitely consider vacationing here again. Very friendly hosts! Fully equipped kitchen. Perfect amount of sleeping space for our 5 adult family.

Everything was perfect! We stayed here for the weekend to relax before and after our daughter's softball tournament in Shippensburg. The drive was very easy, the property feels very secluded but so convenient to everything you need. The grandparents loved the antiques and decor, the kids loved making up stories about who may have lived there and the history of the house and my husband and I loved the exploring the grounds and cozying up to the firepit (when it wasn't raining!). I am a photographer and I could have spent the whole weekend taking photos of this property! I also got very nostalgic as their dishes were the exact same that my mom bought me in college and that I had saved and just given to my oldest for her new apartment at the beginning of the month! Cecelia was so easy to communicate with, and the whole experience was wonderful! We hope to return someday soon!!

We stayed at Fontinalis to attend our family reunion in nearby Pine Grove Furnace State Park. It is a really special place. We hope to return again.

Enjoyed staying at Dan and Cecelia's for Dickinson parents' weekend! So convenient to many campuses nearby. The house is lovingly restored with many fascinating architectural and design details!

Met owner since once we arrived, was super friendly and welcoming. House was very accurately described. Location and atmosphere was perfect for a historic kind of of experience. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay at this property. It was a great place to relax for the day as well as a great home base for day trips to Hershey Park and Gettysburg. Lovely houses all around too. Thanks for a relaxing trip!

Weekend stay

We needed a place to stay while we attended the state track meet at Shippensburg University for an awards ceremony. The property was fantastic- not too far from the university, and my daughter loved playing in the yard and learning about all of the plants in the garden. The welcome basket to make s’mores was a fantastic touch! We would definitely stay again!

It was the most stunning surprise as we walked into this richly decorated, most beautiful home. Check in and communication with the host ensured ease of the process. We took full advantage of the fully equiped home and and kitchen and never left after our arrival as we ate meals in the garden and dinner in the dining room. The beds are so comfortable and the sheets were top quality. We enjoyed the weekend so much we are booking for next year.

Historical home away from home

We had a great time staying here at your home. We felt like we were living in a historical home and loved the touch of keeping it period and adding a few creature comforts of everyday life in the 21st century. Loved the ole black and tan as well as the wide wooden flooring and beam ceilings. This will be our first choice for staying here again when we visit in the future.
