People were very friendly and willing to accommodate…I changed the dates of my 2-nite stay multiple times, but Rocky was always polite, helpful and never complained. I did expect an actual “cabin”…these are updated motel rooms. However, very comfortable beds and had everything we needed. I would have liked less wall decorations and more hooks to hang clothing, hats, purse and jackets. The shower was awesome!! We enjoyed visiting the locals and customers of the store. It was great to walk down the street and see a herd of deer, as well as to experience the delight in strolling through “Gnome Road!” Having an Ice cream shop onsite was an unexpected pleasure! Enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Terry

When the hostess showed up finally she did offer us a nicer room. We expected a cabin and had trouble finding the place because it was like an old motel. The beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom did not have a sink. So I’d say it was adequate but I will not return.

First night was great! Great, clean room for the price. Would have rated this higher if we had stayed in the room our whole trip.Issue came when host realized they put us in the wrong room and moved us after one night into a new knit that had been kind of cleaned. Food was left in the fridge and freezer, a couple dishes left to be cleaned and we were not sure the shower had been cleaned prior to our stay.

When we arrived there was a mix up in room so we didn’t get the room pictured. However we did ask the next day to switch to our original room and they showed us a different one that we liked so we were able to move. The place is rustic which was fine for us. It was very clean. We loved the dog run it was perfect since we had our dog with us. Linda and Arnie were so amazing and helpful. The store had pretty much everything we needed and more. I’m sure we will be going back.

We arrived at 3:30, went to the room and it hadn’t been cleaned. Finally found the host on the property. She scheduled us for another room but failed to let me know. Still had to wait for them to clean up that room. She did give us ice cream for free while we waited. The entire property is VERY old and rustic. Definitely could use some work.

Fantastic place to stay, wonderful homey feel in a cute small mountain town! Marci was incredibly kind and hospitable. Can’t wait to make this an annual trip when cutting our Christmas tree.

Marci was fantastic! She upgraded our room due to our reserved room having renovations being done. It was very comfortable with great access to area attractions. It was a great stay for the price. The property was pet friendly which is a great bonus! We would definitely stay there again. Also The antiques store is worth a walk through.

Excellent location for kayaking, hiking and biking. The host was very accessible and attentive to any requests. Cabin was spotless and a cool rustic vine. Very quiet at night. The small lodge had food options and about anything you might need for your stay. Even an ice cream buffet.

Needs work, great location

The location is perfect and the little store that these cabins are attached to has just about everything and great ice cream the host and her family are very nice and very helpful. It needs some updating such as the carpet which is very old and not to great to walk on with bare feet.
