First half vacay stop

We stayed at The Cottage on our trip from Ohio to Hilton Head. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was exceptionally clean and perfect for our group of 7. We were able to enjoy The Toucan Lounge restaurant just 10 minutes away on Lake Norman. Highly recommend this rental. Communication with the owner was great.

Family Weekend

We came from the beach to the mountains to spend the weekend with family. The house was clean and nice. We did not spend much time in it, but it had plenty of room for all of us to crash.

There was 4 of us during our stay for a relo to this area and we stayed for a month. We had several issues during our stay with the first item being the dishwasher, Tried to debug and notified the host. They asked me to try a few things which I was happy to do. I did say I could wash the dishes, but they never offered to bring out a service tech. Also had issues with the door beeping and eventually just took the batteries out. Notified the host and they told me to switch out with the back door. No new batteries were given to us. The ice machine in the frig is intense and will overflow. The king bed middle supports were bent, so the middle dipped. I did not report this to the host. I just figured it was one more thing we would just deal with till the end of our stay. We had a lot going on with house hunting and stress of moving. It was just easier to adapt as scheduling time would be tricky. The final concern I had was towards the end of the stay I saw nocturnal pests in the kitchen. I threw a bunch of items out and bought tupperware to store our food. Overall, the items seemed beat up and not as new as shown in the photos. The grill was also a bit rough and I opted not to use it. I really wanted to leave a good review, but there was just to many things that were headaches and I would want to know going to a rental. also, note, the management and host may reach out and can be confusing.
