The Fish Shack is conveniently located, quiet, and clean. Booking was easy and the host provided all the information needed to find and enter the property. Will be sure to give this property a second visit.

Very clean and he has restored an old cabin into a beautiful house. Very up to date items and very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, extra cloths soap. Bought him a regular coffee pot, since we go though coffee in the morning and want to rest in our thermos for fishing. Only comment the fan on the 2nd floor bathroom is very loud and should be on a separate switch to turn off/on instead of one circuit. Willing to book again, the guies liked it, mostly fireman and we left it very clean

4th of July Getaway

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay at the fishing shack. Plenty of space, beautiful kitchen and comfy sofas made for an excellent vacation home. Check-in was smooth, the owner speedily took care of everything and the home was well-stocked with needed things.

Ray and Jennifer's group were great guests. Treated my house with great respect and communicated well throughout. Unfortunately, we had a plumbing issue during their stay and they couldn't have been more understanding and easy to work with. I appreciate how they handled this situation and their communication throughout. I would definitely recommend them as guests to any bnb host.

Awesome Fishing Trip

Thanks to Roger and his Fishing Shack, my buddies and I had an awesome fishing trip in Ketchikan. The place was comfortable, beautiful and updated inside, and well equipped with essentials for our adventure. Highly recommended!

Great location away from the cruise traffic, recently renovated, and extremely comfortable!

We traveled to Ketchikan for a family guys trip and had an exceptional experience at The Fishing Shack! Checking into the house was a breeze and even before we arrived, the owner sent us a multiple-page document with house information, things to do, and nearby restaurants/stores. I've never received anything so detailed and it was very helpful being that we've never stayed in the area before. The location was perfect being on the Northern end of town as this allowed us to stay clear of all the cruise ship traffic downtown. And even when we wanted to venture downtown to eat or walk around, it was only a 15-minute drive. The house was recently renovated and the owners did a fantastic job doing so! The exterior was beautiful and had a huge porch and the interior was decorated very nicely and was very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with just about anything you could need or want so there wasn't much that we had to bring in - except for bottled water and beer! The bedrooms were all comfortable and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The bathrooms were all very nice and had good water pressure. Everything in the house was in great working order! The owner, Roger, was extremely accommodating and provided excellent recommendations. We had a hard time finding a fishing charter and Roger set us up with someone who was able to squeeze us into their schedule and was fantastic - we caught a few coho salmon and a giant 38" king! This is the perfect place to stay in Ketchikan!!
