5 stars for a Great place!! Exactly what the wife and wanted for another quick out of town trip out of the city. Quiet, cozy, comfortable, and relaxing not to mention beautiful down by the water. Will definitely be telling our friends and family about it and definitely wanting to stay there again in the future.

I love the trail walking down to the river. The cabin was a bit hard to find though, because the address was not prominently displayed outside the property by the road.

Great large cabin with waterfront property. Everything worked inside as it should. Nice full length back porch. We were lucky and had the best waterflow, clarity, and depth we've ever seen on the Llano river in our experience due to lots of rain a few weeks prior. And a short walk on our property to experience it was perfect. Castell in general is a great place and this cabin helps ensure that. Just book it.

We had a wonderful weekend. The house was very comfortable, and the location was great. Right on the llano river and within walking distance to Castell General Store. We will definitely be staying here again.

This cabin is perfect for a small group or family. We loved the water access, my son had a great time fishing. The General store served a great hamburger and eclectic atmosphere . The deck is sensational, but the Donkeys next door were our favorite. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us we will be back.

This is a great house with a beautiful property and the surrounding area is stunning. Castell is a friendly little town with a great store and waterfront. Perfect for a getaway to relax and hang out on the water.

Great location and view. The river access is fabulous. Plenty of games and things to do. The general store is a short walking distance. Plenty of cooking utensils to prepare meals. Absolutely recommend this place.

Easy to find great location. We enjoyed our stay here. Our only complaint is the mattresses are extremely firm not comfortable and they could use new towels in the bathroom for guests.The window units throughout the house cool enough to keep you comfortable and the gas heater worked to warm us up in the morning. Quick drive to llano and we also spent one morning in Fredericksburg.

Great Get Away From It All @ Castell Cabin

We had the BEST time at the Castell Cabin! We got away from the hustle and bustle of life and enjoyed the Llano River, fishing, scaling the rocks, spying all sorts of wildlife! Great location near the Llano, Mason, & Fredricksburg triangle! The Castell Cabin has WiFi so we could stream on our devices as needed, all sorts of other amenities, and comfortable beds! Great Get Away!

The cabin was perfect for our weekend stay. Everything was as described and did not disappoint. It provided everything that we needed for our weekend and was a great location. The river was a very short walk and the flow was good. It was quiet and the porch was perfect for late night star gazing. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils. We hope to return soon.

Perfect!!

We needed somewhere to stay close to our hunting land, and this cabin was PERFECT for us. It made for a super short drive to the land, and gave my boys a chance to do some fishing within walking distance. We've always loved Castell....so glad to know that this sweet spot is around!

Birthday Success

Suuuuch a no-fuss, perfect river location to celebrate or just get away from the hubbub and enjoy the water. The space is accommodating, comfortable, and has everything needed. The river is so easy to get to and absolutely perfect for a dip or just a nature walk. Love it so much and so glad we could stay here.

Perfect base camp for the Castell Grind

Perfect spot to stay while in Castell. Cabin was clean and well appointed, no issues with anything at all. Loved being able to sit out on the deck and star gaze at night. Very quiet and secluded just enough with an easy 20 minute drive to Llano. The only recommendation would be to provide wifi as cell phone service is a bit erratic in Castell. I’d obviously recommend this place as I have already booked it for next year!

Location Location

The location of this cabin was a great surprise on Llano River. Its secluded and steps away from the river in a private setting. The long porch is perfect for relaxing and a great place to look at the stars. The inside is roomy with nice size bedrooms There is no TV nor dishwasher at this cabin but did not dampen our stay. Enchanted Rock is roughly a 30m drive. All in all, a nice place to visit and would definitely stay again.

The cabin was super clean, AC worked good and the setups in the kitchen especially were great clean sheets and towels, very appealing and stocked cabin. Would have enjoyed it more if there was a tv. Oh, the ants in the kitchen is a problem, on the first night we grilled up a bunch of food to last through or stay, made our plates and set the reminder in a foil covered pan on the counter and within minutes the ants came out of the corner wall and were all over the inside of the pan. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay, the scenery was great!

I apologize about the ant problem and thought it had been taken care of but evidently not. Getting someone else out there to get rid of them.

This is the second time that me and the family have stayed. It truly is a great place and one of the best spots on the river. Very clean home, great gathering area inside for the family, and beautiful views of the stars and river at night from the deck. We will plan on going back in the near future.
