Because ants can be especially active during the warmer months in our coastal area, it can sometimes take a little time for treatment to be fully effective. We were not made aware that the problem continued after the initial service, and we would have gladly coordinated additional treatment or explored other solutions had we been notified. We appreciate your comments and will continue working to keep the home comfortable for future guests.

A member of our team did speak with you directly, and both pest control and maintenance were dispatched immediately—safety concerns like the handrail were fixed right away. The landscaping shown in your photos was not encroaching on the pool or pool deck, though of course a landscaper will always recommend additional work. Some damage you noted had already been documented from earlier in the season; these repairs require more than the six-hour turnover window and are scheduled for when the home is vacant for a longer period. None of the items present a safety issue. For clarity, we use email communication so there is a record of actions taken, and refunds are not issued for previously noted damage or minor landscaping overgrowth that does not affect livability.

We are so glad you loved the house and enjoyed the space! Many of property owners choose not to provide a grill for the sheer fact that they are very difficult to maintain in the harsh beach environment and our team doesn't have the time to properly clean a grill after each guest departure. There are many local vendors who offer grills for rent at very reasonable prices and they are guaranteed to be cleaned and full of propane so as to avoid disappointments. We hope you'll choose to stay at Cabin by the Sea again soon!

Living on the North Carolina coast, occasional palmetto bugs can sometimes find their way indoors despite regular pest control treatments, especially during warmer months. We also appreciate your comments regarding accessibility. While the home does have an elevator, it is not advertised as handicap accessible, as certain features and layouts may not accommodate all mobility needs.
