We absolutely loved the cabin, the lake and the area! The cabin was adorable and clean, Jenn was such a wonderful host and very responsive. The lake the cabin is on is very clean. We rented a pontoon for a day on Bay Lake, went to Crosby for an afternoon and had delicious dinners from Lonesome Pines! Highly recommend!

Jen was great about communication and offering alternatives after a storm took the power out. The kids were bummed that they couldn’t fish from the dock because there were too many weeds, but they enjoyed taking the kayaks and the paddle boat out and fishing from those. The beach area, fire pit area, and deck area are great places to sit and relax. The inside of the cabin is very cute and had everything we needed. My teenagers loved the separate bunkhouse.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Small but comfortable with everything needed, and perfect for our family. Bonus was the deck and outdoor eating space. Teens liked the bunkhouse, including AC. We also liked the kayaks and paddleboat. Communication with the host was excellent as all questions were answered quickly. We will be back next summer!

Nice place. It's a bit funky with the extra bunkhouse but for 2-4 people works. Everything was comfortable and as advertised. The doc area is small and kids cannot swim there, just FYI and you might need to keep your boat trailer at the ramp which is very close by. Not a hassle but just so you know. Everything said, we would stay there again - and the lakes are awesome, great for fishing and cruising!

Cozy, quaint and a quiet appreciation of and for nature is found here, and exactly what we needed to escape the fast pace of life, without missing modern conveniences! Beautiful sunrises over the water enjoyed from the cabin and the comfy chairs on the deck!

Great Cabin for family of 4

We had a great time with our family of 4. We were able to fish off the dock and use the kayaks provided. The bunk house worked great for our kids ( ages 12 and 15).

August getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s cabin! Our kids loved playing on the beach! The paddle boat was a hit with our nine year old! We will definitely be coming back next summer!

Serene Lake Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The lake setting was beautiful. Many amenities provided by the host, Jennifer, for a fun family retreat. Jennifer was so responsive and accommodating. Thank you Jennifer for your hospitality.

Peaceful beautiful place!

Everything was perfect! Nice sandy beach, cozy cabin with it's own bunk house for kids. Only tricky thing if you have a boat, dock it first and leave your trailer at boat lunch. Driveway is a bit tricky if your bring a boat. Very nice place would definitely stay again.

We stayed for a week in late July 2026. This cabin is even better than the pictures. It’s obvious the owners take a lot of pride in the ownership of the cabin. It is very clean and has all the extras with all the comforts of home . The owner was very responsive as well. We brought our small fishing boat and my husband fished for hours every day. He loved just walking out of the cabin straight to the boat. This end of Crooked Lake is very quiet and exactly what we wanted. The driveway is tricky and no you cannot navigate it with a connected trailer. There is also no place to park it at the cabin. We left the trailer at the boat launch for a week with no issues. The only challenge we had all week was the bathroom. It’s small and we are both tall. The shower head and bathroom mirror are both set up for people under 5 ‘ 7”. It gave us both a good daily laugh. We will certainly stay here again!

Great Girls Getaway

My sisters and mom had a great weekend in Deerwood. The cabin was great with awesome lake views and great access to the lake. The bunkhouse was a nice feature to give us that extra sleeping room. Jennifer is great to work with and very responsive. Thanks!

wonderful experience

The layout of the property was perfect for our family. We were pleasantly surprised that there was a second bed in the main bedroom, and the bunkbeds were perfect for our older son in the bunkhouse. Our kids loved playing in the sand, and we liked the quiet corner of the lake. We caught so many fish! We hope to return next summer.

Property is close to boat access and lake is nice for fishing and boating. We enjoyed the sand bar we found! We enjoyed that kayaks were available. The driveway was a little difficult with multiple vehicles and did not know this until the stay. Overall we enjoyed our time on the lake! Thank you for reaching out and being so available!

Cozy Cabin

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Host Jennifer thought of everything we could possibly need. I couldn't figure out the lock and I messaged her and she responded within minutes. The cabin was so nice and clean and decorated so cute! Our bed was so comfy! We felt at home and caught tons of fish! Fantastic lake for fishing! I would definitely come back for another stay here!

We had so much fun, relaxing and enjoying family time. We went kayaking, had a bonfire, played miniature golf, and just enjoyed each other's company
