Description:

The moment that your family arrives at the “Water’s Edge” at 11 D Mariners Walk in Wild Dunes, they will know that they are just starting a vacation that will last a lifetime in their memories. Each day at “Water’s Edge” they will enjoy the smell of salt air, the sound of the crashing waves, the feel of warm sand between their toes, and the refreshing ocean waters.

This beauty is not only reserved for the secluded Wild Dunes beach but is only enhanced by design and appointments found inside at “Water’s Edge”. Following an extensive renovation, “Water’s Edge” at Mariner’s Walk features many new furnishings, an updated kitchen and each bathroom has been redone with imported tile and new fixtures.

The highlight of the first level of “Water’s Edge” is the spacious oceanfront deck. Sunrise to the moonrise, the view from the deck is what every visitor to the Isle of Palms is looking for. Comfortable seating is featured on the oceanfront deck with a large umbrella, which is so refreshing on a warm day.

“Water’s Edge” at 11 D Mariner’s Walk has three delightful bedrooms. The first is on the first level and has queen bed with a private bath. The upper-level features two bedrooms. A bunk bed (Double/Twin) is in the guest bedroom with a private bath. Finally, the master bedroom features a king bed, private bath, and gorgeous oceanfront views.

The Mariner’s Walk Complex, home to “Waters Edge” features an outstanding oceanfront swimming pool that is exclusive for the residents and guests of this community. Mariner’s Walk is unique in that each vacation property has one assigned parking place adjacent to the front door of you vacation rental. There are common spots available for a second vehicle. There is also a public outdoor grilling station at Mariner’s Walk.

One assigned parking space.
One car may park in un-assigned parking spaces on a first come basis.

Beach Chairs and Umbrella:
The Isle of Palms Beach Chair Company will provide your family two classic wooden beach chairs and an umbrella when you stay seven nights (March– October). These are set up on the beach each morning for your family and removed each night by the crew at IOP Beach Chair Company.

Ideally located, this beach house on the Isle of Palms is an easy drive to Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant and Historic Charleston. Sullivan’s Island (7 miles) features Fort Moultrie and wonderful dining options along Middle Street. In Mount Pleasant (8 miles), your family will want to visit Boone Hall Plantation with its avenue of oaks, the USS Yorktown, Town Center shopping and the restaurants lining the shrimp docks on Shem Creek. Finally, Historic Charleston (17 miles) is the number one tourism destination in the United States and offers some of the world’s finest restaurants, galleries, historic homes and gardens.

Things to note:
The Wild Dunes Community has a strict no pet policy for non-residents. Pets are not allowed within the gates of the community.
Pool pass is needed to swim at the Mariner’s Walk Swimming Pool during prime rental seasons

11D Mariner's Walk surpassed my expectations. The views were incredible and it was wonderful to have our chairs and umbrella set up every day. If there was an Academy Award for Best Host, Michael would be the winner. His recommendations covered everything we wanted to do. His food recommendations covered every possible type of food and we loved them all. This was truly a 5 Star vacation property. If I ever get a chance to visit Charleston again, I will reserve this property again.

Comfortable Stay
House was comfortable for all members of my family. Kitchen was well equipped if you decide to cook. Easy access to the pool and beach. We would definitely return to this unit.

Wonderful beachfront vacation
Second visit to IOP and second stay at Mariners Walk. Communication with the host was prompt and excellent. They provided a lot of good information prior to check in and the check in was seamless. The condo was very clean. We didn't eat-in much, but the kitchen was well appointed with dishes, glasses, silverware, cookware and appliances. Everything you need to make a full meal. The TVs were new and sizeable, and are smart TVs, which made it easy to log into my streaming services accounts. The beds are very comfortable, rooms are well laid out and organized. Good closest and dresser space to unpack into. You can tell the condo has been updated recently. The porch is a great place to drink your morning coffee and watch for dolphins. Last but not least, it included 2 beach chairs and an umbrella setup each day on the beach. It's a perk I saw in the listing, but didn't expect since we were staying in late September. But prior to arrival I received a direct email from the host, awesome perk of staying here! Overall I would recommend and stay in this unit again.

Mariners Walk is a mix between a condominium and townhome community. Only Wild Dunes community with assigned parking next to front door. Large oceanfront pool. Beautiful landscaping and wide beach. Ocean features an offshore sand bar making the water perfect for small kids at low tide, and fun for big kids at high tide with rolling breakers.

Oceanfront View. Updated kitchen and baths. All new carpeting in bedrooms. Not an "investment" property, but home to a family outside of the summer season when offered as a vacation home.
