This is our 3rd or 4th stay here. It is just the perfect size for the two of us. Clean and tidy. I just want to sit outside and enjoy the water, and it is the perfect spot for that. I feel very comfortable there. If available, we will return again and again.

Amazing stay!

This property is so peaceful! My husband & I really enjoyed our stay here. The house could easily sleep 5.The kitchen was well stocked. No complaints! The views are spectacular! The house is currently for sale, and I truly hope the new owners continue to rent it out through VRBO, because we want to stay again!

Another week in paradise

We love it so much we are coming again in august and September. It is a home away from home. Enjoy every second of mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets. Bring your SUPs and float the waters of Hood.

Family getaway

Great location, close to so many wonderful areas. The view from the deck was amazing! We saw sea lions, jellyfish, crab, fish, and a variety of birds, including eagles. The sunsets were breathtaking. The house was comfortable, well stocked, and furnished comfortably. The views from the windows were great. Parking was super easy and made loading and unloading a breeze. Great place to stay!!!!

Happy!

Enjoyed our selves once again. Had one little glitch but owners were very easy to contact. We are booked already for the summer and looking forward to another summer visit. Will be our 4th return.

Beautiful views. Could use a better cleaning. Comfortable beds. Some road noise. New owners since our last stay.

Clarification for future guests; some laundry soap had spilled before this guest arrived that we were not aware of. Had the guests mentioned it when they checked in, we would have called our housekeeper immediately to take care of it, however, they did not, so there was no opportunity for us to remedy the situation. As for road noise, this is no secret as the house is located on Highway106, which is a 40mph road. We are grateful for this guest's long stay and hope some spilled soap will not deter them or other guests from booking in the future. Thank you! Rebecca

Heaven on Hood

Home away from home. This little waterfront shack feels even warmer under new ownership and management. It has everything you need to enjoy every second of it. Dip into the waters of healing Hood right from the deck steps or enjoy the views from inside when it’s cooler outside. Three years, multiple visits with family and friends and hopefully many more to come. Inna M

This place is amazing!

Stayed here over July 4 holiday with my two kids. Simply fantastic! The deck and view are enchanting. Inside was fantastic. About 10 minute drive to Mason Lake where friends were staying. There's a gas station with beer/snacks about 3 minutes away, and a full Safeway about 15-20. It's also a few minutes from Twanoh State Park which has a very easy and very beautiful hike. Owners are communicative and kind!

Hood Canal gem

This house is right on the water and has a wonderful view of Hood Canal and the Olympic mountains (on a clear day). It is so relaxing and peaceful. We love watching the weather, the birds, otters, and seals. We love watching the tide go in and out, and playing games as a family. Twanoh State Park is minutes away, and Hunter Farms is 18 minutes away, where you can get Olympic Mountain ice cream. We drove to the Hama Hama Farm Store to pick up oysters and clams for dinner. So good! We hope to stay there again in the future.

Great view!

The wall of windows, viewing the Olympic Range was the big selling point! We watched the tides, the seals, loons and seagulls in the panoramic landscape. The home is clean and the older kitchen is well equipped. We wished for a bit more soft seating, just has one loveseat and two chairs was not enough. More reading light in main room was needed. The washer/dryer was great. A bit of road noise in bedrooms so pack your earplugs. This home is all about the view and canal!

Cozy, beach house with bountiful oysters and clams.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gary and Sammie's Hood Canal beach house. The photos don't do the property justice as there are so many updates and everything has been well equiped and thought out for their guests. The house was spotless, and as clean as a hotel. Gary and Sammie made the check in (through customized key code) an easy process. We were able to dig a whole bowl full of clams in less than 30 minutes and also an unlimited amount of oysters directly from their beach. We made Linguine Alla Vongole (clams), fried clams and oysters, baked oysters, as well as had them fresh out of the shell. A seafood lovers dream house! The next door neighbor was not home, so we had complete privacy. The water views were breathtaking as we watched birds swoop and dive into the water for fish. Binoculars were provided as well as a bird chart. We played with the board games and card games that were provided. I am actually worried that such a review may make it harder for us to come back as it's a diamond in the rough. But we enjoyed the house so much, that a fantastic review is well deserved. Thank you so much Gary and Sammy for a very memorable weekend with my wife and two teen boys! We will be back for sure.

Situated right on the bulkhead, easy access to water. Very clean house. Love this place. Nice get away for us. We are repeat customers. Easy to communicate with owners if needed.
