The Riverside hideaway was a rustic place hidden away! You didn’t even know you were in a big city!! There was a lot of space for our family and pretty close to places to eat! The host was great about responding to my texts! The home was clean, like a little cabin in the woods feel to it! We would definitely stay again if we get back to Detroit!

Amazing house able to accommodate 10 guests. Close to Detroit and Grosse Pointe restaurants and activities. Plus Bobby is a great host.

Movement weekend in Detroit

Stayed at Bobby's property and it was exactly what our group needed. We come every year for the music festival and the location is far enough out where quiet but still a quick drive to downtown, large enough to fit everyone, check in was easy, house was exactly as described. Would def stay here again.

Great place for a group!!

Property was amazing and everything that was described. Location was perfect and right next to Gross Pointe. Plenty of room for get togethers inside or outside by the canal. Could not be more pleased with the expirence.

Perfect for large groups

Stayed here for a wedding with friends. The Property manager Bobby is very responsive. The location is killer and the backyard is perfect for hosting a large group!

Enjoyable stay!

The property, location and host were all amazing. They left a thoughtful care package with a personalized note. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed! Upon check out, I left my keys and the host was available upon contact and prompt in assisting. It was an inconvenience to him and he was still able to pleasantly assist. I would stay again! Thanks host!!

Thank you Markisa. I have two young kids, so when we are packing up to leave anywhere it's inevitable we WILL leave something behind. I know that frustration, so I'm always happy to coordinate a pick up, or mailing stuff out that gets left behind. Glad you enjoyed the house and location. It definitely feels like a hidden gem.

Close to city

proximity to the city is nice, but you will need a way to get there. its not a walkable neighborhood to get to downtown, so just recognize that there are potential logistics on top of your stay here. the house is in good shape, beds were comfortable, and amenities were readily available. this is a great place to gather with a group and spend time together before getting out to the surrounding areas of Detroit and seeing what the city has to offer.

Thank you Andrew. Glad you guys had a good stay at the house. And yes, we have the park across the street, Coriander Kitchen and Farm, the boat launch, and Detroit Riversport's for kayaking, all walkable, but the place is more for those looking for retreat vibes. The rest will be drivable.

Great get away close to the Grosse Pointe and the Detroit

This beautiful home is situated on the canal that feeds into the Detroit River. The house is spotless with every amenity you could need. It's a short drive to Grossse Pointe and Detroit. All the bedrooms were spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Bathrooms were big, water pressure good! Amazing kitchen, dining room and living room that was perfect for our extended families stay over Thanksgiving. Bobby was available and helpful for anything we needed. Highly recommend, would love to visit in summer too!

Great getaway, even off season!

Wow wow wow. This house is just super cool. There were 10 of us staying all together and there was plenty of room for everyone. Even though it was cold, it was still nice to be on the water and to walk across the street to the park. The restaurant next door is top notch, too. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anybody. Host Bobby was incredibly responsive and accomodating - and even left a delightful welcome card and gift basket. I really hope I can get 8 friends to go again, cause I would love to return!

Wow Lindsay, what a thoughtful review. Glad you enjoyed the place even in the winter. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces probably helped! But yep, when my family stays there we feel like we're on our own private island with the park, canal and the restaurant, Coriander, you referenced. Thanks for staying and visiting Detroit. I hope you guys had a great time at the Red Wings game.
