West shore regulars

We stay every summer for one week on West shore. Timberland is a favorite location and this house perfectly met our family's needs and had become one of our top favorites. House had it's quirks but it was clean and well stocked. Will rent this one again

Just What We Needed

This cozy cabin in a quiet neighborhood was just right for watching our grandkids while their parents were enjoying a weekend away with friends nearby. Yes, baby-sitting at Tahoe can be awesome. Plenty of space, dog-friendly safe neighborhood. We enjoyed walks with a stroller and dog, chatted with friendly neighbors, and made meals in the well-equipped kitchen.

Beautiful cozy cabin

My daughter, her husband, their 2 children, and I stayed at the cabin for 4 nights over New Year's Day. It is very cozy with a well-stocked kitchen. All the dishes and cups and glasses matched! The kitchen had a table with benches and chairs, which added to the cozy feel of the place. We ended up cooking most of our meals there. The decorations throughout were coordinated on a subtle bear theme, which was fun. The bedrooms were also decorated in a welcoming way and the linens were very nice. We drove to the lake for stone skipping, Palisades for skiing, and up the road towards Mt. Rose for sledding. Sunnyside is a nice place for dinner and it was a short drive away.

Misleading description

Do not stay here unless you want to overheat and be inundated with bugs as there are no screens on most windows and you can’t cool the cabin down at night with box fans. There’s no insulation either.
