The cabin features an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area, perfect for spending time together with loved ones. Enjoy cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and everything you need to whip up your favorite dishes. Then, sit down to dine or kick back on the comfortable couch and watch a movie.
When it's time to relax, head out to the deck and take a soak in the bubbling hot tub, or gather around the fire pit for some s'mores under the stars. And when it's time to turn in for the night, retreat to the spacious king bedroom!
But the real highlight of Matriarch in the Sky is the huge walk-in shower, featuring two shower heads and luxurious amenities. Whether you're looking to unwind after a day of hiking in the nearby Ouachita National Forest or simply looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, Matriarch in the Sky is the perfect place to do it. What To Bring:
• Bring OFF for chiggers/ mosquitoes/ ticks/ etc.
• Favorite coffee and creamers (a starter kit is left at each property)
• Condiments
• Oils, seasonings, and cooking basics
• Ice (some ice makers can be finicky)
• Personal Toiletries
Our on-site housekeeping crews provide a starter supply of basic essentials. These supplies will not be replenished, but there are local stores that can assist with any needs that come up!
Below is a list of the items:
• 1-2 rolls of toilet paper, per bathroom
• 1 bottle of hand soap, per bathroom
• 2 bathroom garbage bags, per bathroom
• 1 bottle of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, per shower
• 1 roll of paper towels
• 1 bottle of dish soap
• 2 sponges
• 4 dishwasher pods
• handful of tall kitchen garbage bags
• handful of coffee pods
• Coffee grounds for a pot of coffee
• Coffee filters
• Starter coffee creamer
• Starter coffee sugar
• Salt/ pepper
• 1 small bottle of laundry soap
• 1 small container of hot tub chlorine (to use after each use as directed)
Fireplaces:
Available for your enjoyment from October 1-March 31
Other things to note:
- Pest Control is scheduled quarterly. Due to the house being in a heavily-treed area, you will encounter critters. This is common even with pest control treatments. If there is an abundance of critters, please inform your host.
- Weather: No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/other things that are outside our control. Please purchase travel insurance for coverage. (this can be done while booking through Airbnb or direct- if booking that way)
- ABSOLUTELY NO smoking *in* the home.
- Check-In/Out: Check-in at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM. We charge $75 for two hours late/early for all requests of early check-in & late check-out, based on availability. Please note we may not be able to accommodate early check-ins/ late checkouts. Please message us for more details.
